Part of it might be because a lot of the cool games cost $10, and the second post in the thread still has "Current budget: $9.75" on it. I know that it misled me, at least. Maybe remove that from the second post and update the main post with a note saying that the budget is viewable in your last post or something? (Or even better, put the budget somewhere in the OP? )

Only the unsweetened applesauce will not hinder weightloss however. Normal applesauce is sugary as all hell.

Also, after winning not once, but twice (three times if you count my campaign for The Warted One), I'd feel extra guilty if I continued entering for myself.

Something else to consider, the current atmosphere of the thread is much different from what it started as. I imagine the majority of non-participants that have read it have been ... discouraged by the content of the first, erm, several dozen pages of content.
Perhaps giving the OP some updates as to the current situation (as Roy pointed out), as well as making note that the initial sadomasochistic vibe is mostly no longer present. You were having us literally beat a virtual representation of yourself. I imagine that's quite disturbing to most. I would guess those of us that are here don't think any less of you for it, (and I'm sure we've got a Fred or three in here as well,) least of all myself.

Still, it is odd that more people aren't signing up. It's a giveaway for heaven's sake; people usually jump at them.

The giveaway aspect might be partially negated by the fact that we've now reached 100 pages. Most giveaway threads don't even make 20, so there could be a portion of people who believe that the giveaway has ended and the thread has simply lapsed into some form of discussion instead.

I see your point. I don't necessary agree with it since I find first few paragraphs of starting post to be informative and possibly-disturbing-material-free enough, but I guess adding another line in, I dunno, that disclaimer spoiler probably wouldn't hurt.

As for reason why there are so few application... I'm not sure. I would guess it might be because OG forums have just a certain mass of people who frequent it and out of this mass not all join giveaways for different reasons and we have kinda run out of people who do join? And those that already participated and won generally do not wish to do join again out of politeness? That's my best shot, confusing as it may be.
