That's actually an accurate assessment. Carriers INHALE resources, Fleet carriers all the more so.

If we go purely by numbers, the upkeep of a single fully-equipped fleet carrier is equal to the upkeep of around 2.5 battleships, 5 heavy cruisers, 12 light cruisers, or 20 destroyers.

Edit: Waaah! I forgot to mention I'm taking votes!

Aklyon: Transistor ($15) +1
MaximumZero: Paper's Please ($5) +1
Vector: Ace Combat: Assault Horizon ($8) +1
Mapleguy 555: Creeper World 3 ($6)
n9103: Xenonauts ($25)
BigFatStupidHead: Super Amazing Wagon Adventure ($2)
SteelMagic: Xenonauts ($25)
Sinistar: M&B w/ F&S ($3)
Quote
Aklyon Vs n9103
MaximumZero Vs Mapleguy
Vector Vs Sinistar
BigFatStupidHead Vs Steelmagic

Round one
Aklyon rolled 1d20+1 → [11,1] = (12)
n9103 rolled 1d15 → [15] = (15)
Cloudbank was forcefully processed by aliens, leaving n9103 no choice but to order an indiscriminate carpet bombing of the area. Everyone died, except for Aklyon who had died several days earlier in a fatal probing incident.

MaximumZero rolled 1d20+1 → [11,1] = (12)
Mapleguy rolled 1d20 → [1] = (1)
MaximumZero denied the Creeper's entry into Arstotzka due to contraband, invalid papers, and questionable reason of entry (Eradication of the Human Race). The Creeper had no choice but to overrun Odin City instead; Mapleguy was forcefully converted and forced to sing "I'm Blue" until his inevitable termination.

Vector rolled 1d18+1 → [4,1] = (5)
Sinistar rolled 1d20 → [19] = (19)
Vector's F22 armed with a disproportionate number of AGMs attacked Sinistar's group of farmers. Unfortunately, in his haste, Vector chose to Autoresolve and was killed by farmers due to incredibly stupid and incompetent programming.

BigFatStupidHead rolled 1d20 → [18] = (18)
Steelmagic rolled 1d10 → [4] = (4)
Steelmagic left BigFatStupidHead in the dust, proceeded to depopulate the entire region of wild animals, and then drowned while attempting to wade in a river 3-feet deep.

Round 2:
n9103 Vs MaximumZero
n9103 rolled 1d10 → [7] = (7)
MaximumZero rolled 1d20+1 → [11,1] = (12)
MaximumZero denied the Aliens entry onto Earth, thus ending the alien threat. The Xenonauts were then converted into a pop music group. n9103 was soon kicked out of the group due to losing his figure and was later found dead in a dumpster after months of heavy drinking, drug abuse, and failed marriages.

Sinister Vs BigFatStupidHead
Sinistar rolled 1d20 → [3] = (3)
BigFatStupidHead rolled 1d20 → [1] = (1)
BigFatStupidHead died of dysentery. His loved ones elected to toss his diseased corpse over the side of the road. They all lived happily ever after.

MaximumZero Vs Sinistar
MaximumZero rolled 1d19 → [12] = (12)
Sinistar rolled 1d20 → [9] = (9)
Sinistar's attempt to storm MaximumZero's checkpoint ended in failure. Sinistar and all of his followers were executed by firing squad. MaximumZero kept Sinistar's head mounted on a plaque in his office until an Inspector from the Ministry of Admission fined him and ordered him to dispose of it.
Losses:
Sinistar: 1 Sinistar 500 Farmers
MaximumZero: 20 credits 1 head on a plaque
MaximumZero is the winner.
Glory to Arstotzka.

Also, Magicite and Broforce appeared on flash sale earlier; since the flash sale winning disregards price, sjm9876 and Uber Pye win their respective games (Uber Pye would've been right anyway). Uber Pye should have already received his game. I need an email from sjm9876 to send his. Choppy's entry appeared on Daily sale yesterday for $13, so he also wins. I need an email as well.

Glory to Arstotzka.
I'm surprised the SAWA demise didn't involve buffalo in it though, considering how often they show up in the game. :)

Damn 3 foot rivers. At least I managed to eradicate the animal population before I died.

Congratulations comrade MaximumZero. Glory to Arstotzka.

xD

Among the already hilarious roll-results texts, this was one of the MOST hilarious ones.

Congratulations, MaximumZero! Hope you enjoy Papers, Please, I can say from personal experience it's a great game. :)

Also, given the appearance of Mr. Sitdown in this thread and recent influx of Arstotzkan politically-correct jargon, this picture is pretty much mandatory:
