None of those "Character of War" backgrounds fit my character.

But which book contains themes? I do like the idea of extra powers and bonuses.

Neverwinter Campaign Setting, the Dark Sun Campaign Setting, the Book of Vile Darkness, and Heroes of the Elemental Chaos, Dragon 399, Dragon 414, Heroes of the Feywild, Dragon 410 and Dragon 409. Probably more, but I can't find a good, complete list. I'll see if can with a little more digging.

Silent Hunter looks good for me, as does Wandering Mercenary. Although Con Artist would be awesome even without the benefit it provides.

Auspicious Birth would make a lot of sense for my character. As would Born under a Bad Sign.
Former Barbarian would be hilarious for the hybrid/multiclassing abuser part of him.
Last of the Breed would be totally bizarre.
On the Run from the Devil would be entertaining, and a good excuse for why he's only a half-Warlock.

Hmm, I can't decide from these. Anyone want to offer help? I'd make an impact in the insane and bizarre backstory of the Half-Everything.

I've written up David's backstory.
Tawarochir, do you mind if I import some very class specific lore, a small amount of astrology and some lore from my theme?

Spoiler: Notes for/to the DM: (click to show/hide)

A. David was born fated for a life haunted by powers unknown. For instance, many of the people closest to him died. Feel free to screw me over in indirect ways. You might give him bad deals in shops, or crummy loot, etc.
B. He is a member of an organization called the Order of Hospitalers. Hospitalers are sworn to help the poor, sick and injured. They have chapter houses in most major cities and hostels and hospices in the wilderness, offering care and shelter to those in need. They also escort travelers through the wilds, especially religious pilgrims. They are common sights in armies combating evil, and are often seen as knights, or a sort. They hold ecclesiastical ranks, and the higher up ones often maintain estates and strongholds. That sort of thing doesn’t start until around tenth level, probably.
C. No, this is not me pulling shit out of my ass. Check my earlier post about themes and backgrounds.

Well, I chose a background, but I don't think anyone raised in a monastery would have a title.

Uh, yeah, sure, I guess. It's fine, assuming they fit at least a bit. So, like, feel free to import classic fantasy themes and backgrounds, make sure it fits with your character if it's a bit... different (i.e. Dark Sun and stuff) and just no for, like, Spelljammer or whatever the science-fiction thing is called.

On the topic of player color, I think that Rhogar would like to be blue. Doesn't really fit personality or anything, but all the good colors are taken.

By the way, if you didn't notice, I added something in on the first post about how deaths in the first few quests are "comatose" instead of dead, just in case you split up in a dungeon and run across something for the whole party or I accidentally mess up and throw an OP monster at you.

I'm starting the IC thread in a few minutes. I'm done waiting for Remuthra's Aasimar, so he/sh isn't going to be included in-game until their charsheet is done. I'll just stock filler-fluff, first meetings, and XP-less interaction until Remuthra is ready.
