Conveniently, this means that players who leave for a bit just go to a bar and get drunk. To keep it fun during regular play, there would have to be rolls to not succumb to your drunkenness, probably fortitude/will or constitution/intelligence vs a DC that goes up with each drink.

That would be hilarious and with everyone's consent I'd like to implement it. You'd have to not post for like a week or voluntarily go to a bar, but that would be essentially "Twitch Bay12 Plays Dungeons and Dragons", which would be hilarious indeed.
