Joe attempts to strength-check the bolas. Not likely he'd be any further use until he could get rid of them.

A Cave in the Greenskin Mountains

Will’s arrows continued to avoid their targets with the greatest precision. Kyle’s grabbed the limp-armed archer and ran towards the bola throwers. The archer was rendered unconscious by a bola to the head, at which point he was thrown into one of the bola throwers. He didn’t make an especially good projectile, merely knocking of them off their feet. Joe flexed his prodigious muscles, and the bolas snapped free, falling to the ground. Rachel had been running up to help him, but instead simply stared in awe of his strength. Clair stood to the side of the battle and attempted to pick her nose with her ax, which predictably resulted in a bloody nose.

George again managed to a knock out a goblin, this time the weakened berserker.

The tunnels remained quiet, and it looked as though the group would not be joined by more goblins anytime soon.

Following a Child

The dreaming soul quickly channeled energy from the child, to itself, and into the dog. It succeeded with this second attempt, but the blink dog was perhaps a bit overzealous in its pursuit of the child. It launched itself with supernatural strength and knocked the poor girl over, causing her to begin to panic a little.

Varisport

The murderous wraith needed direction immediately, or it would fade from this world.

Kyle jumps on one of the bola goblins while they're down.

Stab one of them with my crystal.
More magic for giving the girl a sense of safety.

A Cave in the Greenskin Mountains

Kyle jumped directly adjacent to a bola thrower, doing little more than clearing the way for a volley of arrows, and while Joe managed to bring his shield squarely in a goblin’s face, the resultant bloody nose hardly seemed worth the effort. Will and Rachel gave each other looks that suggested they weren’t even sure why they brought melee fighters along before they simultaneously released arrows. Rachel’s found the bloody nose of a goblin, and a split second later found the back of his skull, while Will’s entered and exited the throat of the other bola thrower. This would have made Joe and Kyle look quite silly, with their inability to effectively deal with the goblins, were it not for the fact that the attention was drawn away from the fight by the fact that Clair got a little more than earwax on her ax, and appeared to have passed out, alongside a small rivulet of blood escaping from her left ear.

George helped lighten the mood by stabbing a dead goblin with the crystal he carried, as though that were the most effective use of such an object in combat. Kyle did seem to appreciate unconvential use of weaponry though, so maybe there was a future in crystal stabbing.

The tunnels remained quiet, and it looked as though the group would not be joined by more goblins anytime soon.

Following a Child

The dreaming soul again drew energy from the girl, this time both in the form of her inherent magical store, and her tension. The child visibly relaxed, and began interacting positively with the animal. The soul floated gently behind them as the dog was led by the girl back to the village. Such was the speed of the blink dog that when it was distracted from its companion by a particularly offensive squirrel, which had the audacity to choose to live in his vicinity, the dog returned with tufts of fur in its teeth before the girl could call twice for it.
