A Cave in the Greenskin Mountains

Joe lashed out with his leg, taking the goblin to the ground. Will had been trying to hit that same goblin, and his shot flew over the falling creature. Kyle tried to plant his foot on the head of the goblin he had pinned, but only managed to crush an ear, and in the process he let the goblin catch its breath. Clair brought her ax down on the unconscious spear gob and severed a major artery. Rachel let loose an arrow at the archer. It flew past the melee combatants and entered into the upper arm, just below the shoulder. There was no gush of blood, but the arm in question immediately went limp.

The archer attempted to stab Kyle with an arrow, but wasn't coordinated enough to land the blow. The berserker who had been previously pinned similarly struck out and missed. The other berserker got a clawed fist in past Joe's shield, but Joe merely deflected this with his dastana and slammed the goblin in the chest with his shield, knocking the wind out of the startled greenskin.

George attempted to turn the brain of a goblin to mush but couldn't focus well enough on a moving target.

Just when it seemed the goblins were falling apart and wouldn't last two bola throwers came through the tunnel. They weren't prepared enough to react immediately, but they certainly evened the odds a bit.

A Child's Dreams

The dreaming soul floated just behind the girl as she went about her daily activities. The morning was fairly uneventful, but then the child found a blink dog dashing around the countryside and became interested in it.

A Cave in the Greenskin Mountains

Joe slammed the terribly imbalanced goblin to the ground and pressed his dastana against its throat. Rachel focused on the pinned creature and tried to force it away. The repeated abuse was too much and its neck snapped beneath Joe’s shield. Kyle’s arrow barely caught any of the skin of the dead-armed goblin archer, resulting in a minor scratch. Clair swung towards one of the newly arrived bola throwers, but failed to make contact.

The archer kept flailing with its good arm, a sight which was almost comical. The remaining berserker left another scratch on Kyle’s skin, but nothing large enough to slow the bowserker down. The dying speargob landed an ineffective blow on Joe’s shield. This was followed by a bola which caught the armored man square in the chest. The ropes wrapped around him, and while the bone weights could do little to him in his armor, he was well and truly tangled up and would need to be cut out. The other bola hit Rachel and bruised her a little, but didn’t wrap her up.

George’s continued attempts at combat were met with continued failures.

The tunnels were quiet again. To make matters even better the berserker suddenly seemed very weak.

Following a Child

The dreaming soul tried to encourage the blink dog to approach the young girl, but it’s animal fear seemed to be holding out, preventing it from approaching a human. The soul would need more energy to expend on charming the animal.
