Move over to the back door by Clair, and get ready to go in if she's ready.

"Have you got a plan for this?"

Clair open the door and take out anyone she missed in the corridor. If there is no one, move to the door to the main room and wait till the fight start

Outside the Opposing Compound

Kyle thought to continue his ruse, but played the part a bit too. As he trying to take a swing at the man with the staff he stumbled past and into the door, now serving as little more than a convincingly drunken doorstop. He was followed closely by Joe however, who took a hint from his earlier encounter with a club and slammed his shield into the head of the one with the staff, and there was a sickening crack as the man dropped to ground. The one wielding the hammer turned towards the commotion in time to see an arrow loosed by Will fly to the right of his head, narrowly missing his eye. It did not, however, miss his ear. Ignoring the wound, the foe brought his hammer down towards Joe. It slipped past his main shield but he brought his dastana up in time to catch the blow. He was knocked back by the impact, but unharmed.

Meanwhile, in the hidden corridor, Clair prepared cautiously, waiting to hear any sounds of battle, but before she could decide if it was time to get involved Cromwell charged through the door, eager for a fight. It was fortunate he did so, however. The seemingly unarmed opponent that had awoken earlier had just pulled out a force crystal, and was preparing to do something with it in the direction of the front door. What he ended up doing was demonstrating the danger of casting under less than ideal conditions. He lost focus as Cromwell entered and accidentally shot his crystal through a wall of the building and out into the street. The man with the rapier was better prepared, however, and threw some sort of powder at Clair and Cromwell. Some got in Cromwell’s eyes, stinging them and making it difficult to see clearly, but Clair was more fortunate and just had some small stinging on her skin.

At this moment the final two rivals woke up and filed in. One was a female archer in a leather jerkin and bracer while the other was a large man striking an intimidating pose with a vicious looking bearded ax and a bronze helmet.

On the Beaches of Varisport

While the wandering spirit thought about what to do with its newfound powers the dreaming soul went in search of a crystal of its own. It searched up and down the beach but couldn’t find any boulders that hadn’t been scavenged by the people of Varisport or by the mana crabs. Additionally, it felt a pang of loss as a manatic charge faded away.

In the Opposing Compound

Kyle charged wildly at the archer, who was so shocked at another archer charging at her that she didn’t know how to react. This gave Kyle a chance to swing at the opponents head with his bow. While such a maneuver would, by itself, cause little more than bruising, it distracted the archer from the arrow that Kyle slipped into her gut, and slashed wildly. The foe, now realizing her peril, ran into the nearest room and slammed the door, escaping at least temporarily from the combat. The axman saw this happening and rushed over, trying to bring his menacing bearded axe down on the exposed Kyle. He slipped in some of the blood, however, and only the tip of his bearded ax found flesh. It left a shallow cut along Kyle’s chest, but at most it would make a small scar to brag about later.

Clair pegged the mage as being the greatest threat and swung her axe in a wide arc towards him. The ax caught his leg, opening a sizable gash that seemed to bleed heavily. This brought Clair within the reach of the mage however, who slashed wildly with his dagger, scoring a few grazing cuts on Clair’s arm. She normally would have ignored such small wounds, but they suddenly stung intensely as the earlier powder found its way inside of her. Luckily Joe came barreling in before the mage could take advantage of Clair’s pain, and slammed hard into him. Only a few ribs were bruised, but it was enough to give Clair time to regain her composure.

The rival wielding a hammer charged at Will, who loosed an arrow that found the hammerman’s upper arm, letting loose a small trickle of blood. As the hammer descended towards Will he tried to leap out of the way, and while he was not quite fast enough the glancing blow that cause his foot would likely leave only a small bruise, if that.

Enraged by powder flung at him Cromwell charged the opposing swordsman without bringing his sword out of its sheath. His sight might have been bad, but it didn’t take much to tackle the opponent to the floor, pinning his rapier beneath them. Try as he might, the rival was unable to lift Cromwell off of him, or grab his sword.

On the Beaches of Varisport

The dreaming soul persisted in its quest for a crystal, and found the corpse of a mana crab nearby. It was able to wrench the crystal out of the crab’s body and subsume it into its own ghostly form. Before the soul could consider the ethics of stealing from the dead as the dead, it felt its last charge slip away, and that precious crystal left with it.

The wandering spirit had only slightly better luck. It should have been a simple task to find some charges to drain from unsuspecting citizens, but the spirit wandered too erratically and found himself in the Mage Guild, with nearly every person sporting some sort of bismuth bronze trinket, just enough to keep him at bay. At least he didn't loose any charges though.

Giving the mages the ghostly finger, the spirit zips away to less affluent areas of town.
Suck all those charges, from poorer people.
