I got my idea of a combat system put up. Tell me what you think. Also, I'm gonna throw up a survey so you can give me preliminary thoughts right now.
I think any survey you throw up on is going to be very dirty and not necessarily fit for writing on :P

Also:
Name: Grud
Race: Human
Class: Barbarian. Warrior or blank if not available
Bio: Grud grew up with his family along the northern edge of the valley, growing what crops they could and cutting up firewood to trade when that wasn't an option. Unfortunately, Grud's family was one of the victims of the goblin raids, and Grud witnessed them being torn asunder.
He has since taken the heaviest stick he can find and struck out against the gobbos any chance he gets.
Weapon: Two-Handed Club

7/10 Has much more memorable sigs but casts them to the realm of sigtexts.

Indeed, I do this.

You're probably definitely right, but I like knowing what people think of this and I'm flexible to changing parts of what I'm doing. So survey. Even though I know it won't really help much at the moment.

[EDIT] I added an option for you to check if you feel that way :)

What do Tortoise Boulders actually do? Also how much training does one need to do magic on a scale of one to ten? (One being "Oh hot damn magicks just happened to me" five being needing a book on it and ten being four years of apprenticeship.)

Around a 5 or so to acquire initial skill, after that you can use that skill frequently to make it so you develop new skills. So initially a 5, then a 3. Tortoise Boulders can be a grounding point for pushing and pulling magics, due to their mass, or an explosive, due to their semi-hollow nature. Smaller fragments can also be used to do lesser manipulations, like trying to push and pull small objects. Should I write up a section on magic?

Oh, didn't see that.
Could we start out with a form of it as a character?

Probably.

Have a magic lore section up, which hopefully gives a sense for how magic is used. I'll work on getting a mechanics entry related to magic.

For now, yes. That will expand, don't worry. I want this game to be one where you're options expand as you play. Hence no starting skills, only one race, only access to a few metals, one form of limited magic, etc.

Is inner magic a thing? (As in no crystals just meditating or whatever.)

Certainly not for humans, possibly for other races. We'll see.
