"Many a honourable man, turns into a fiend at night ~♪
And many a honourable deed, never sees the light ~♫"

Delivering an impromptu stanza, someone seems smugly satisfied with himself. Why that someone blinks at the lady once during that endeavour, might better stay everyones best guess thou.

"... or so I heard, at least. But as good Kyle just said, you take care of the honour, and we take care of the surviving. But really, if all it would take to get these beasts away that I drank, believe me, I would do that with as much abandon, you would not be able to call it anything but honourable either!"

... yeah, grinning broadly from one side to the other, one can suspect how serious he has taken all of this.

Kyle gives the drunk a look.
"I will point out that I will... how did the song put it? Put you in bed with the captains daughter if you are drunk on the job."
This is said with much seriousness.

Alyce snorted at the reference to heretics but otherwise ignored it. The mighty body tensed slightly under the armour - it ground softly against the floor before she controlled her temper.

"Anyway." she said flatly.

She tapped one metal-clad finger on the map.

Spoiler: map (click to show/hide)

"There would be a good place."

The pirate walks over to Aylce and puts a hand on her shoulder.
"My fair lady, I do not believe getting into fights this early in our... job is a good idea."

Fine she-knight I shall not call thee a heretic no more but it does not change the fact that ye are one. But we all have a common cause here our survival and that task has been assigned to all of us. I will do my part and will think no less of any of you as long as you do your part. She-knight I do not wish to make a enemy of you but until you come to realize your sin and repent I can not call you a friend. So I hope we can put all feelings of anger and angst behind us and get back to our God given task.

"I try not to argue with priests."
He leans down to whisper in Aylce's ear.
"Stubborn to the point of stupidity in my experience."

You were planning to have a 15 year old magical girl kill Witches by drinking them under the table!? It's original, at least.

Bob

"That open area her ladyship proposes looks good to me. Settling on an island sounds nice and safe and all, but it would mean having to build a temporary camp and rafts then ferry ourselves and our supplies over water. Looks to me like the bigger of the two islands is about three kilometers from shore. That's a long swim if things go badly."

Sir Waldrid, observing for a moment, steps in to add his peace.

"Those are all very good proposals, my companions, but what kind of protection can we expect from such an area? Sure, we may have high ground, but we are within hitting range of the tower.

Would it not be just as beneficial to put ourselves to the east?"

Waldrid says, then points to the area between the forest and the mountains over to the east edge of the map.

"I dare say that this area has a mountain range that must be traversed, before any of the necromancers beings may reach us. There is water their, albeit swampy, but it would be a good area for clay sources, and we can still purify the water."

He shrugs.

"But the decision must be decided by a majority. So if yon placement is more favorable, than we should settle there."

"The location I suggest is still over thirty kilometres from the tower. That is far enough."
