I was trying to get the point across that this wasn't a bastard mod, that the players could get answers.  Apparently I can't play or mod mafia, my apologies for my incompetence.

Also, you don't know who the SK is, what other powers(if any) they have, and there are a few unrelated things you don't know about.
I am also not telling you what goes with what.  I told you basic abilities, but not the true extent of the abilities or any modifiers or anything.  No, no, you only see the things I reveal, see.  Not the things I hold back, not the things I don't say.
And there are a few secondary abilities I "neglected" to put on the list.  Those will be seen as the game progresses.
Yes I know that, but why I really advice not telling third-party roles out as EXIST/NOTEXIST is that it both ruins the mystique of the third party, and 'oh hey this other person exists!'.
I mean unless said third-party agreed to it, then it'd be OK. I speak for the general idea for third-parties here in that they're third-parties and have the right to not be called out by the MOD. >.>

No, I'd like you to remember that and learn from it instead of panicking and falling back on the restart button because I believe most of us aren't done with this game and will discard it because "AHAAHA FAILURE". :(

Seriously? I don't see anything wrong here. You should just edit in the order of actions into the OP for future use. Also I believe in regard that you discussed the game with 2 experts on the matter, then the subject of the roles not having a stated ability is a good idea and not mod-failure (because if so, then just edit in the abilities...unless all roles are to every person and they aren't generic, in which I side with you hiding the abilities--on the matter of game mechanics moreso than anything else)




PPE...? I think Captain of the Guard is the loyalty, Mayor disables jail sentences, and the Broker or representitives are tracker
That's a nice shift of guesses. Why did you shift guesses and how do those guesses help at all?
They are my insight on what the roles do, and we potentially have the roles capability if someone claims. I swear that the militia captains are Masons ( town that share night meeting for the newbies ), though.

Because I want to prove that I am not dangerous, me being a lowly Manager.

Any role can be any alignment, as stated by the mod. This looks like a subtle townclaim to me. (which isn't town behaviour at all)

Claiming a list of supposed roles and their abilities is also useless. How does making this list get us any closer to lynching the right person?


And I'm pretty sure Tiruin then followed with the exact questions I posed. Whatever, still posting yolo.

Alright, I have a question for you all. [1] Do you want to know the types of abilities I included in the game?  I can give you a list, if you like.

And perhaps the more important question: [2] is this setup even fun?  Because if not, I can scrap it and drop my next game into the queue.

To answer, post my name in bold with an answer to the question.  I don't want this turning into a game of uncertainty regarding the rules.

I try to keep my questions broad in scope and look closer on anything that seems suspicious or contradictory. Nothing as complex as NQT's spreadsheets, though. Do you think your tunnelling prevents you from noticing others' scumtells while you are tunnelling someone else?

This game has become insane (Not the mod's fault) why are people claiming? And subtly not-claiming that's really claiming? What the heck is wrong with you all? It's DAY 1 for crying out loud!
Imperial Guardsman, you're (like others have stated) just posting a bunch of speculation that serves no purpose, and then townclaiming, which is (as Caz stated above already) really freaking suspicious.
...And did you even answer my original question?
Vote Imperial Guard, he's either scum causing confusion, or being really bad town.

Mason's Guild Representative - Day Kill
Carpenter's Guild Representative - Role Block
Imperial Guardsman: The scum already have an information advantage. I do not think it behooves us to puzzle out the different roles. It is unlikely the knowing roles will allow us to identify scum, and we would be giving up our only information advantage.

Unvote mastahcheese: I think you got rather defensive at my initial vote, however it is in line with how you act in other games. If killing the hammerer removes out ability to hammer, how does town win the game?

I imagine that if we can't hammer, then we'll just have to try and get all the scum in a jail cell at the same time and hope that qualifies.
