Google tells me that it was "Men’s Health magazine of all places". That's...odd. You could probably try to contact the guy, maybe he's ok with sending you a high-res version, if it's for private purposes.

Worth a shot, anyway, thanks for tracking that down. I sent a message. It's a long shot, but who knows!

Oh, and it turns out Tumblr is a veritable cornucopia of ridiculous Shatner gifs.

Also the lovely and talented Kate Beaton drew this! Hooray for the internet!

That first gif is from this scene. I had almost forgotten how weird Star Trek could get. I've never seen most of the series in English, so I missed out on Shatner's speech patterns a bit, but his acting translates very well.  ;)

How about his singing?
My stupid unblocker won't let me see that (copyright issues), but I assume it's the same track as this? Shatner's singing is mindblowing indeed. Mr Tambourine Maaaan!.

Awww.... Yeah, it's the same track, but the video I linked to is set to footage of the animated series.

Well, the unblocker works fine with most other videos, but with this one I just get an error message. Stupid GEMA.
I'm tempted to press the Spock button:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Though that would be highly illogical, especially now, that I've got it to work. Great video. :D

Honestly... Kirk wasn't the BEST of actors.

But... Honestly... that probably worked to his advantage.

"You've had classical acting lessons right?"
"Uh, I once played the part of Bottom..."
"You're hired!".

You're right, Kirk wasn't the best of actors. Shatner was.

That Spock Button gif is amazing.

I stumbled upon a tumblr called "textsfromtos" which is mostly fanfic romance between all the male characters. Some of them are actually pretty funny.

Does anyone know what those numbers before the text are supposed to mean? I've seen them on similar ones for TNG but I never understood what they were.

Are they Season/episode numbers? Like... 418 is Season 4 episode 18, that's what comes to my mind.

That would have made sense, but there where only 3 seasons in The Original Series.

You're right, Kirk wasn't the best of actors. Shatner was.

What is kind of funny is that... Kirk in the show was actually quite dreadful at acting.

Mind you, some of the time that was intentional as it was really his gumption that made his acting questionable to onlookers as they became to afraid to call him out on it. (Or he would just seduce you)

Also I thought Shatner also played Lucius.

Oh, hey, remember before everyone had cell phones and you had to deal with constant advertisements for long distance service?

Because the cast of Star Trek wants you to join their family circle.

He also had a beeper, just in case.
Still not as cutting edge as the 60s Ipad.
