He also had a beeper, just in case.

"And no one needs to know where you are."

Hot damn, though, I'm only just discovering how gorgeous Leonard Nimoy was when he was younger. I mean, he was already in his 30s when he did Star Trek - I'm finding clips of him from before that, when he was in his 20s, and... It's making me sadder than ever that there are no time machines.

Bonanza, anyone?

Or a little Outlaws?

I mean, he's always been handsome, but after he was on Star Trek, he always just looks like Spock to me. These really young shots are... Making me feel all funny...

Looks like Spock might be receptive to your compliments:

In case you like braids, he seems to have played indians at times too.  ;)

Also: possible origin of the emo Spock hairdo.

That's just logical.  ;)

Man, he was prolific, I know and watched most of these shows.. ;_;

I have learned that the numbers (and the texts) from those "texts from tos" images are all taken from here: http://www.textsfromlastnight.com/

And yeah, it seems he popped up on just about everything. He's even on an episode of the Twilight Zone. Then he became Spock and... Spock forever.

Here's one more for good measure. He's got a nice Fonzie/Danny Zuko look going on in that one.

Shatner did a Twilight Zone too, can't find a clip but that one was famously spoofed by the Simpsons.

Seems Shatner was in a lot of stuff too, even with Nimoy.

Also, have a kitten reenacting Spock's death scene from Star Trek 2, because why not.

I'm not the captain.

Apparently Bill stole Leonard's bike, possibly in retaliation for this.

Thank you for this.

But I think you have the order of events wrong. Leonard is the one taking revenge on Bill for the bicycle theft!

And now I want to go watch the roast of Shatner again. I wish Nimoy had been on that. I mean, it was good, but imagine how good it could have been with Lenny up at that podium!

Now sit back and relax as Shatner seranades you with a little FUCK YOU.

Considering the age of the footage, that is the more logical conclusion indeed.

Cool, that has some good comedians in it. Gonna watch that later or tomorrow. Wonder what they come up with about Shatner that the man hasn't said about himself before.

Now sit back and relax as Shatner seranades you with a little FUCK YOU.
That seems to have become his main attitude in recent years.  ;)

Edit:
Hehe, just took a glimpse. A man who rides to his roast on a white horse is invulnerable.

Be prepared for extremely crude humor. Also, he leaves the roast just as grandly as he arrives. : )

This is not from the 60s or related to Star Trek, but somehow I feel this cover of Still Alive with fantastic animated music video touching on all the classics is in keeping with the nostalgic spirit of this thread.

That was pretty good. George Takei can dish it out better than I expected. And a grand finale, not restrained by any sort of boring modesty.  ;)

I can finally say what I've waited 40 years to say: Fuck you and the horse you rode in on!

That's pretty cool too, though I only recognize like half of the games. Didn't have a computer at that time, so my nostalgia is mostly computer-free.

Yes, Takei was unexpectedly fantastic. I think the star was really Betty White, though. Totally did not see that coming! Such a nice old lady.

It always makes me laugh when I see Artie Lang on stage... knowing I'm gonna outlive him.

The games in that video are mostly from Nintendo consoles of the 80s and 90s, so if you didn't have Nintendo, it might not be so nostalgic. I grew up on Nintendo, though, so... Those are basically the most positive memories of my childhood right there!

Here, let Billy boy make you a promise.

That's almost harsher in hindsight, she almost has outlived Artie. And she has outlived Greg Giraldo and Farrah Fawcett already. She definitely pulls off the mean old lady thing.

I'm in my 80's, which is funny, because that's the last decade you mattered in.

I didn't get my own PC until around '00 and I never had a console. Maybe I'll get one when I'm grown up, which should happen some time before my 40th birthday, I hope.  ;)

Here, let Billy boy make you a promise.
Finally, I don't have to worry about cholesterol anymore!

Whoa, holy shit, how did I not know Greg Giraldo died? Four years ago, according to Wikipedia... I guess avoiding media at all costs does actually have a cost.

On a lighter note, here's Leonard Nimoy pretending to be a Japanese kabuki dancer on Mission Impossible.
