Next release WILL have chibi dwarves (big heads as pseudo-fix for thin-paper skulls). So you have at least that.

I found incredible similarities to Attack on Titan and Dwarf Fortress

>Create huge fortress to keep the fun out

>People die randomly

>People die constantly

>Untrained military are essentially siege fodder

>Nobles are completely useless

>Military delivers horrible beatings to innocents because of stupid nobles

It's pretty much anime Dwarf Fortress with humans and Giants instead of Goblins

I guess I have an excuse to post this again.

No idea how accurate this is though; I haven't watched Attack on Titan.

Ozyma, you are very right, and I also do hear the stories of people ended up with their forts being the last of their civilization.

And BlackFlyme, that picture is so amazing!

I can't help but think that the reason there's fire in this picture is because the dwarves accidentally did it themselves.

Would that huge titan not be a Bronze Meat Colossus?

Nah, it's a 40d titan.

And yes, anime in DF is... well, it has the over-the-topness and reality warping (aka: bugs) of Gurren Lagann, the mindfucks and general insanity of Evangelion, the violence level and dark feel of Berserk.

As for Attack on Titan, I don't know more. Though I hear it is fitting for DF.

For some reason I imagine anime dwarves to have Brock's eyes.

OH GOD CANNOT UNSEE

CURSE YOU POKEMON ANIME

(you were referring to that correct)

I always picture DF dwarves to almost be like Rip Smoulderboulder now, (obscure references ftw) with giant helmets that cover their eyes and huge mouths for screaming with.

If df was an anime then all the females would look like 8-10 year old girls.

I know one thing. Gendo Ikari is a natural-born DF player.

I think Toady's confusing interface better simulates the experience of a bunch of disorganised drunken dwarves running a fort.
