Vandertz turned around when he heard a muffled "thump" near the tower. He ran towards that direction right away to see what was going on, and his eyes widened in shock as soon as he saw Kat on the floor and carefully rose her to bring her to Gordon.

"Kat, are you alright? Gordon! We might need your help over here!"

Kat groaned quietly, but otherwise didn't stir. It seemed likely that being so close to a tower when it released a massive amount of light magic had affected her in a strange way. It remained to be seen what the actual effects were...

"She's probably just exhausted or something. The fight was obviously too much for her. I wouldn't worry about it. The priest is going to help her anyways. He'd do more for her than you or I ever could. We kill people, not help them. Or at least I do."

For now Vandertz carried Kat on his arms and just tilted his head as a gesture for the others to follow him back to the town, only for the group to be greeted by the same old man they talked to before.

"Thank you. I had my doubts about your kind...But now we are safe with the towers running again, no creature with dark blood will be able to go through the shield."
