"You do know adventure doesn't make people rich, right? What she is trying to say is that we are going to hit Rundum's Gate, and I am quite sure you know what that means. Money and power if you are looking for that."

"Garret? Damn it! Damn you all! You'll all pay for this!"

"Hehehe." The joyous laughter of someone spoiling for a fight and the sound of clashing armor plates announced Lycan's arrival at the battlefield. A faint smell that seemed a mix of blood and booze wafted around him and he took a quick at his surroundings before locking eyes with the nearest person from the group of adventurers.

"Guess you're my opponents, eh?"

His confident smile quickly grew as he listened to the offers made.

"So you're that group heading to Rundum to open the Gates? Always heard that was some kind of fairy tale for the gullible but I have doubts myself."

[Praefectus Screptum]

"...Yes, we are. And this isn't a fairy tale at all, we even found a better way to reach it."
He made a gesture by moving his halberd, just to make the wyvern lower his head and give him a better angle to see the Knight properly.
"I know it isn't too much yet, but it is better than keeping around here, right? It isn't like they are going to offer you anything better."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"It'll be exciting, that's for sure! At the very least we already know we're going to be fighting some undead and looting their temple. That's gotta be better than standing around and waiting for some old fart to tell you when you can fight, right?"

He looked like the kind of guy who liked to fight. Smelled like it, too - all cheap booze and old blood.

: Well, I tried ta warn them. Best hope they know what they're doing...

Gordon moves to (3,8 ) and heals Garret with Tiena.

: "Come on, up with ye. I'm twice your age and still going strong."

"And what better way would that be? Got information from a reliable source, a magic book with directions, a treasure map, some ancient compass?" Lycan asked as he stared at the wyvern rider, his interest piqued.

"And right you are, Duran ain't nice. As you can see, his decisions aren't that smart and he gives orders without a care in the world." Needless to say, it was obvious the troop positioning wasn't exactly the work of a tactical genius, and on top of that sending Lycan to attack the priest while ignoring everyone else was basically telling him to initiate a suicidal charge. "Hey, Duran. I like fightin', but should I ignore everyone else and charge at the priest?"

"Come on, don't fight Gramps! He's a good guy."

"Fight with us instead and help us break through! C'mon c'mon c'mon c'moooooooonnn..."

"Ugh... There's a lot of them coming. We need to turn back."

"A map, yeah. A really rare map, one of those used on the first attempt to reach the Gate yet. And it has a different path leading to Rundum. We will be avoiding wasting time with other mercenaries, so we may get there before any of them."

He looked to the side and raised an eyebrow when the Knight made a question towards the other Knight, at least now he knew the name of the Knight leading the blockade now.

"Just freaking kill that priest, I am going to call Bonecrusher and the Reaper to help you there! They are going to arrive pretty soon."

Bonecrusher and Reaper will be arriving in two turns, watch out.
