Garret blinked for a second before answering.
"Wow. You don't go slow, do you? I think you should at least wait until I knew you for more than five seconds."
He looked at Gordon next.
"And the old man's right. We should get moving soon. You can explain the job later."

The thief laughed.

"Too far? Sorry! I sometimes forget that not everybody knows I'm joking. I'm waayy too used to just messing with the same people."

She hadn't been on the road for more than few months.

"You'd have to buy me dinner or a drink first before I'd even consider it,"

Kat added, sticking her tongue out at Garret.

"Well, anyway, I'm ready to get walking."

Vandertz couldn't even give his name to them as Kat made him that favor, but at least it would give him the needed time to focus on the main task now. He reached for the map to let the whole group see it now, showing their location right now, Terrania, of course.

"Alright gentleman and ladies, we are all mercenaries here, your past won't matter on this thing. Before we go, I need to show everyone here the path we will be taking. According to the map, we won't take a boat straight to Rundum, we will take another path."

He tapped his fingers over the two territories close to Terrania, they were marked, one of them with a big "X" on it.

"We will move to Mernid, then Sylvinir, the area marked with the "x". Something important is there, as the other "x" is already on Rundum. I think it might be some secret passage or something."

Kat's eyes lit up.

"Ooooooo~ An underground passage? Sounds cool!"

Then reality set in.

"Probably a long walk to Rundum, though, if that's the way it is. We'd better make sure we got all the supplies we need and stuff."

"So, uh, when do we leave?"  Now that he wasn't talking directly to Kat, Lesan was feeling slightly more at ease. Only slightly though.

Great, I'm going back to Sylvinir. I never heard of a passage, but I hope it's nowhere near the village.

"Now. I just wanted to make sure everyone would know the plan. Some kind of warning I guess, we are going to step on places people didn't step in probably years."

Vandertz closed the map before hiding it inside his helmet again, and then covered his head with the helmet once more, nodding to the group.

"And with that settled, we are going to Terrania port, we need to get ourselves a boat or something, we can also get some supplies there. As Katerina said, it will be a long walk to Rundum."

After making sure everyone was ready, he moved out with them, leading them into the direction of the port, but it didn't take too much time for them to face their first problem. There was a large number of axemen and swordsmen wandering on the area, and as soon as they spotted the group, one of them ran into the same person Gordon saw previously.
Chapter 1: Beginning of a Journey

"Sir, more of them are moving to the port!"

"Just kill'dem. Don't wanna waste my time with more of dese guys."

Soon some of those who were wandering stopped, some of them pointed their weapons towards the group, a fight was about to start!

"Lucky us. Looks like we were greeted before even getting close to the port."

Move to 4,7 and burn sword 2
:"Let fix that."

"Well, hopefully some of them will understand this is a waste of time if we take some of these down, who knows.."

Move to 4,5 and stab Sword1.

Diplomacy may work on this map depending of the situation. Some enemies MAY or may not be willing to turn against the leader.

Kat scoots to 5,7 and attacks Sword2 as well.

(Oooh, that's right. I also get my PS (+15 Hit) in play since scap attacked Sword2 first. And since that makes my Hit 118 and his Evade is only 8 I do believe that's an auto-hit. :3)

"This just gets better by the moments..."
Garret moves to (6,6) and finishes off Sword2.

Nanoha versus Sword2: 105-8= 97 Hit rate. Roll: 1. Critical!
10x3= 30 Damage!
The swordsman stood no chance against the fire, being burnt alive before becoming ashes and bones.

Vandertz versus Sword1: 94-8+15= 101 AutoHit. Roll: 43!
11-2+1= 9!
Sword1 counters! 102-15-7= 80 hit rate. Roll: 38. Hit!
10-1-5= 4 Damage.
Both of soldier and the swordsman managed to hit themselves, but clearly the one who receive the most painful attack was the swordsman.

Lesan versus Sword1: 103-7= 96 Hit rate. Roll: 10, Critical! (Again?)
9x3= 27-3= 24 damage!
Boom, headshot.
