"As weird as it is, we will need to pass by Sylvinir too. The map has some "X" marked on it, and the second "X" is already on Rundum."

That the inquiry might be a joke did not occur to Lesan.

"Uh. Archery. Especially mounted. Archery from horseback." And not, oh, let's say, talking to people, especially women what is wrong with me why is this happening?

"Sounds useful! Hey, Lesan, you ever been in an archery competitions?"

"Uh, well, not like, formal competitions. Usually more of the informal. With sudden death elimination." Careful observers would note that, at this point, Lesan was starting to sweat ever so slightly.

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Oooooh. Did you ever win any trophies?"

Kat didn't notice.

"Nnnnnno. No. No trophies. Not as such. Got gold a few times. Usually a gently used bow." Not all the time though. Most of the time some fool soldier or bothersome horse will step on the bowstave before I can recover the damn thing.

Lesan seemed to be insinuating he was a bandit, and Kat picked up on it.

"Well, I guess if they weren't going to use the stuff somebody might as well, right? My philosophy, too! Although I don't win things so much as take them without people noticing, unless you want to count that as winning them."

And this served to confuse Lesan more than anything else. "I... guess?" So, that makes her a thief by trade? That's weird, I wouldn't have guessed so. Probably a helpful skill where we're going. I'd assume so anyway. At least she got what I was saying about archer showdowns. I think.

: "Ach! Dammit Vandertz, how many detours will there be? I'm hardly getting any younger, ye know."

(Kat announced she was a thief when everyone first met. I think Lesan knows. XD Oh well, I'm hoping that Sophie and Lesan find some stuff to talk to each other about through this conversation and get something going there. ^^^)

"Yep! I didn't usually take valuable stuff though. Unless it was interesting. I like stuff that looks like it has a story behind it."

Kat smiled at Lesan, hoping to put him at ease.

"What sort of stuff do you like?"

"Hey, I never said I enjoy this, you know. I am just trying to follow the map, and frankly, I prefer to take a "long" path without trouble than a "short" path full of mercenaries waiting for us."

Sophie notices Lesan sweating and shoots him a sympathetic smile.
:"Um, uh, thanks for welcoming me then...?"

Garret turned at Sophie again.
"Who are you again? I don't remember you being with us before."

"Um. Food, I guess? That's a thing I like." Lesan notices Sophie's smile, and begins to redden slightly. Keep cool Lesan. Don't stare at the girls, or they'll think you're a creep.

Sophie gives Garret an extraordinarily terse answer.
:"I'm Sophie Desrosiers."
