"Well, then we gotta hit 'em soon before they have time. It would be a lot easier to take down like three evil priests and a couple of minions than sixty or seventy zombies."

"That we do. I just hope Terrania and Mernid's troops help us."

[Solymr]

Since the robed girl wasn't answering, Garret turned to Kat.
"Kat, can I speak with you for a minute?"

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Hmm? Oh, sure thing Garret! What's up?"

Kat turned to him expectantly, ready to follow him off if he wanted to speak privately.

[Solymr]

"It's about your... fighting style."

"I know this going to sound incredibly ironic coming from me but..."

"Don't get too cocky during fights. Specially after a lucky shot. You could get hurt... or worse. And after knowing you a little, I wouldn't want anything too bad happening to you."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Oh?"

Kat tilted her head to the side and smiled.

"That's sweet, Garret. Tell you what. I like you and I don't want you getting hurt either, so... you can watch my back and I'll watch yours!"

"I may be small, but I can hold up my end of the deal!"

[Solymr]

"Heh... Deal. I'm telling you so you can remind me before I do one stupid thing too many. And it's nice to have somebody watching my back."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"No worries. If you do end up doing something stupid I'll be there to get you back on your feet. And same for me too, of course."

"Shake on it?"

Kat removed one of her hands from her back pockets and held it out to Garret.

[Solymr]

"Sure."

Garret took the hand Kat was offering and sealed the deal.

[SeriousConcentrate]

Once the handshake was done, Kat got a devious smile on her face.

"So... seems like that pegasus rider really likes you. Think she's been stalking you for awhile?"

[Solymr]

"Uhh... I'd rather not think too hard about that. I'd like to keep on the good side of someone who ripped a guy's head off in front of me."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Yeah, that's probably the best idea. Maybe I should ask her about it sometime, see what she really thinks."

[Sirus]

Gordon used his Old Person Powers to butt into the conversation.

: "There's something a bit odd about that girl. Haven't quite nailed it down yet, but I can feel it in me bones. Best be gentle if ye ask her about it, Katerina."

[Solymr]

"Aren't you scared, Kat? Maybe she saw your attitude towards me and she thinks you're a rival."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"That's as good a reason as any other to talk to her about it, Garret!"

She turned to Gordon.

"I know. Don't worry, I'll try not to start anything."
