Vandertz tapped the side of his halberd before finally remembering about the other two who joined them in the fight, it seemed that the Pegasus Rider wasn't too close, but at least the Dancer was there. The Wyvern Rider lowered the halberd and walked towards her before speaking up.

"I don't think I got your name, did I? And thank you for the help against Enor, I didn't really expect to see more people showing up and willing to help. I am Vandertz, by the way."

Well, it looked like the halberdier leader was accepting her without much issue! That was nice.
:"My name's Sophie. You're welcome."

"Pleased to meet you. Are you really from Terrania? I don't see many bards or dancers too often here."

:"Actually, I'm from Rundum."

[Praefectus Screptum]

"Rundum? We are actually planning to get there, quite sure you know why."

Oh. Um. ...Hmm... Sophie had to think about that one for a bit; she hoped it wouldn't give her away as not having been hired- did he even care about that? This just looked like about as great a group to travel with as any else, and the more daring things she did on her journey, the more respect she'd get back at the mountain. ...plus, there was a little spark of adventurousness there getting ignited.
:"...mm... the gates, right?"

[Praefectus Screptum]

Vandertz nodded and clapped his hands together.

"Yes! That is right, the Gates of Rundum. We are all here because we know we can't get there by ourselves. Also.. I am quite curious about something."

He placed a hand under his chin and raised an eyebrow at Sophie, tapping one of his boots on the ground.

"You followed us, even after dealing with the mercenaries over there. Are you looking for something?"

[Powder Miner]

:"No, just to.... well, adventure, really."

[Praefectus Screptum]

"You are welcome to join us. We will be taking a different path, so all the help we can get will be more than welcome."

[Powder Miner]

Sophie considered; but she considered briefly.
:"Yes, I'd do that! It's travel, and adventure, and cheap."

[Praefectus Screptum]

"Excellent. Just keep in mind this will be a dangerous adventure yet. I don't even know much about this path on the map."

Sophie was actually getting visibly excited.
:"Yeah, well, it's more stories to tell! Oh, if I do this, I'll be forever respected!"

"Hah, quite sure you will! We are all here for a reason after all, if we really manage to open the Gates, we will become respected, and we will finally change that story. The first ones to reach the Gates and open it!"

"So... you said you haven't done anything you liked in a long time. If you could be doing anything you wanted right now, what would it be?"

"Right now? I just wan to go to bed."
