"In any case, I am glad I found this lance. I've been meaning to brush up on my skills some more, especially after my last one was     lost."

The pause is noticeable, but his tone doesn't change.  Sena distinctly remembers Yvain being conned out of his weapon the week before.

"Come on Gordon, try to chill out. Save the babysitting for when we are in the battlefield, at least here we are safe."

Kat scratched the back of her head.

"Jeez. Is that what having a brother's like?"

She *does* remember, but she laughed at him enough when it happened.

"Come on Yvain, I don't think we're that bad."

Of course, Twin is neither man nor woman but an unholy eldritch abomination like every other Bay12er. The difference is they hide it better.

"It seems we've got what we could. Time for partying 'til we're too tired for it! I'll also check on the other guys later. They aren't around so I think they're more tired than we are." Lycan said before pointing a lance back at the tavern and leading the party train forward to drunkenness and glory.

At least he hadn't taken his armor and shirt off just yet.

"Hey steve." You speak into the air.
>Yes?
"Could you guys also make a hamburger out of this arm when they cut it off? I wanted to eat it just for the sake of tasting it."
>That is horrible and disgusting. It will no doubt set you apart and create fear in your team mates. So of course.

"Hah. This thing doesn't work on hangovers, so don't look at me in the morning." He glances back at the older priest before following Lycan.

He shakes his head in response. They weren't, and it was a joke, after all.

As promised, Vandertz allowed the party to take a day off-And it probably was for the best if people were really going to pass the night drinking. Time passed fast, and once more it was time to move forward and proceed with their quest.

"Alright people! It is time for us to go, hopefully we will be able to at least get to Sylvinir tonight!"
Vandertz's speech was interrupted pretty fast by the bartender being followed by a large supply box on wheels-Or at least looked like a supply box.
"My apologies for not speaking with you sooner, but our leader was waiting until your group was ready to leave before providing you with this weapon; it is a siege weapon. He suspects you will be facing strong resistance at Sylvinir, so he wanted to provide you with something to go through barricades and to force large groups to spread out, use it wisely."
"Thank you for both your hospitality and your uh...Weapon gift. We will try to do our best to open the seal."

CHAPTER 6: BADLANDS
The road towards the edge of Mernid seemed awkwardly quiet, and during the time they were going along it, it was obvious something was going on. They weren't stepping on desert sand anymore, instead it was a dry and rotten ground with pools of toxic substance-If there was any doubt about Mernid's land being completely corrupted they were gone by now.
"I still can't understand why they are destroying this land... What does that have to do with raising an army?"

Ociel reached over his shoulder and pulled at his blade slightly, checking the baldric as he gazed at the disturbing sight before them.

"I do not know. I have my thoughts, though they may be idle fancy."

Kat was staying far away from the toxin pools.

"Trying to make it inhospitable for non-human races? I'd say it's going a little bit overboard though..."

"Seems inhospitable even for humans, really." Sena says, carefully guiding her horse to stay away from the pools.

Aura wondered what the contrast of an army, to corrupted land, would bring. She held the spine of her tome as she thought out loud.

"Maybe the army is for purposes past we can currently see. ...Should the lands be connected to the army?"

After some time following the road, they passed by some huge holes on the ground along with countless damaged weapons laying on the floor. Clearly they were getting closer to the next challenge-Or at least it seemed like if before they found themselves near the edge of a cliff.
"...Where is the rest of the road? I could swear-"

Before Vandertz could say anything else the ground began to shake as if something very heavy was walking, and in a matter of seconds a large form began to raise right in front of the cliff.
"THIS can't be good..."

While the sight of a really large armored creature was threatening, it seemed to have two large green glowing arrows stuck to its chest, and even if it was so close to the group it didn't try to attack them yet.
"I was waiting for your arrival, travelers. My time in this world is almost over."
