: "Hmm. I'm afraid I don't know much about tha Titan off tha top of me head, so I won't be much help there. And if we somehow do run into tha Defender, I'm not tha right person to speak ta Him. I'm a vowbreaker, remember? Unless I can perform some great deed ta prove me devotion - such as opening tha Gates - He would likely either ignore or smite me." He actually chuckled a bit.

: "Heh. Tha priest and tha thief, equally sinful. Reminds me of some of those old jokes about walking into taverns."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Maybe we should walk into the tavern and get a drink!"

Kat giggled for a bit, then turned serious.

"I wouldn't think that, though. At least you believed, once. He might still listen to you. I'd vouch for you, but that would probably make the situation worse."

The witch looked at the bugs crawling along the back of her hand and with a thought willed them back into her tome.

"Well, anyway. I'll buy you a round. Gods know I've got us the money to spare and that you do enough for us to have earned one."

[Sirus]

: "...ye know, it's been a long and difficult day. I think I'll take ye up on that offer. Even priests are allowed ta drink, so long as it is not ta excess."

[SeriousConcentrate]

Kat led Gordon into the tavern. And promptly stopped upon seeing Lycan.

"...!"

"...Woof."

After a few seconds of staring, she seemed to remember what she was doing.

"Oh, right, drinks. Whatcha having, Grandpa?"

[Solymr]

Garret followed both of them inside the tavern. He was keeping quiet since the priest revealed what happened, just listening to everything that was being said. But after entering the tavern, he put a hand on Gordon's shoulder to speak to him.

: Am I the only one who thinks the Gods being here is shady? The bag of bones in the desert... If he was really Adant, one of first to attempt to open the Gates, and a priest of the Defender like you are... Who do you think is the one that brought him back to life?

[Caellath]

"Welcome back. How did night's cool air treat ya?" he asked from his spot standing close to Elysse as people returned to the tavern.

[SeriousConcentrate]

"It was all right. A little chilly out, but, y'know. Fine. Hey, want a drink? I'm buyin' one for Father Duvall, but if you and Garret want one we have a lot of cash to spare."

[Sirus]

: "Oh, I'll just have some wine if they ha--" He also stopped once he noticed Lycan, though his reaction was different.

: "Oh for Gods' sake man, put a shirt on! This is a tavern, not a brothel. Show some respect for the ladies present." The priest might have continued, but Garret asked him something.

: "Mph..your guess be as good as mine. It does seem rather shady, as you put it, and while I would welcome the Gods appearing before us the timing seems a bit coincidental ta me."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"I'm not taking any offense, for what it's worth."

Kat knocked on the bar.

"Can we have some wine for the priest?"

[Caellath]

"Thanks girl. I got some already." he replied to Kat, raising his half-full mug of liquor before turning to Gordon. "Relax, they ain't bothered."

[SeriousConcentrate]

Kat said nothing to that last bit, merely grinned like a cat, her eyebrows raised.

"Well, if you're sure on the offer. Hey, bartender! Can I have some of what Wolfy over there is having? I mean as well as still getting the wine for Father Duvall."

[Solymr]

: Even if they're gods, I don't trust them. In fact because they're gods I trust them even less than the regular man.

Then Garret turned to Kat.

: I won't have any more drinks. You should watch yourself if you want to drink the same as him though. You might end up shirtless too.

[Praefectus Screptum]

Vandertz stepped out of his room and nodded to the group.
"So I guess everyone is back-"
He crossed his arms and stared at Lycan for a moment before returning his attention to the rest of the group.
"Guess someone had been drinking too much around here or something. Either way, did you find anything good to buy? Or any information? Because I am not sure when they will request us to help with the towers."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Oh, I'm sure you would be so BOTHERED by that, Garret."

Kat grabbed the hem of her shirt and lifted it as if to take it off... then let go of it and started giggling. Her drink arrived shortly after Vandertz did and she took it.

"I think I saw Grandpa get a staff of some sort."

[Solymr]

: Hey, I'm just warning you before you give the old man a heart attack.

: Shouldn't you mention the *other* thing you found out?
