Basket weaving is an underappreciated skill, the benefits of which will make themselves known in due time.  Rest assured, the basket weaving art is an integral part of my grand plans, arcane though they may be to the uninitiated.

Ah, well, yes, kinda. It's up to you ultimately - in your model, it looks like it's kind of on the border between actual magic and some sort of priestly homeopathy shite. I just thought that it was fitting IC - Runner needs to know if somebody will try to murder him today. If the tea leaves say no, he suspects that they are the wrong kind of tea leaf, slipped into his tea by some diabolical enemy. You geddit.

It's important that you actually state what it is exactly - if you can do magic, you get an abnormality. If not, you don't.

What determines whether our abnormalities will be mental or physical?  Do we choose them or do you select them?

PTW, may make a character sheet soon.

Has anyone made a character sheet of a priest-like dude yet?

EDIT:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

His weapon of choice would be this, but only with the curved moon side, not the other one.

Would my character even have significant abnormality? He's a mage in the loosest sense of the term.

[GreatWyrmGold] gets a little crown. May it forever be his mark of Cain; let no one argue pointless subjects with him lest they receive the same.

Nope. Character archetypes so far, as far as I understand:

Four fighters (Urist, Grimm, Clair, Arryn)
Six mages (Karla, Wilril, Alex, Arcus, Timotheos, Samuel)
One thief (Runner)
Two diplomats (Don, Wallace)
Two commoners (Matt, Bob)

This is only my opinion, the players of these characters may have different ideas. In other news, the king is also quite a player, with 15 children.

I've decided that you get to choose which type of abnormality you get - mental or physical.

Would my character even have significant abnormality? He's a mage in the loosest sense of the term.

That depends. Can he do magic, or is he simply well-learned on the subject? If the former, yes. If the latter, no. It appears to be the former, given that he knows ritual magic, so there you go.

Also, will be selecting sheets soon.

By the way, does the berserking count as magic? If so, with or without blinking, or both?

With blinking, yes. Without it, no.

I specified "significant". Obviously he'll have something.

Basically, what I'm asking is how much abnormality scales with ability.

It doesn't. If you have magic, then you get an abnormality, and the significance of said abnormality is random.

In for a penny in for a pound. Fair enough.

Rather, in for a penny in a for a randomly generated value between a penny and a pound. Though personally I'm hoping for the pound, more fun to play.
