Right, three new entries on the Things You Know post - the Plagues, the magical arts and the gods. The middle one may be rather important to the magical types, actually.

Now that I actually read the Things You Know, I have some trouble completely picturing the geography of Allochton; maybe a map would help a bit?

Perhaps tomorrow - in the meantime, people should feel free to give more suggestions on Things that You all should Know.

I'd personally like the know the state of medicine and "science". Seeing as there's the bit of the decline of humanity, I'm assuming that medicine is stuck at a medieval level and that science is pretty ancient chinese alchemy (ginseng all day every day). Confirmation of this would be nice, otherwise I might want to change up my character's education a bit.

You're mostly on the money there, although 'alchemy' in the Allochthon sense is also actually magic, and it's pretty much the enchanting of liquids. Magic affects technology a bit, though it's not overly common. Will elaborate more tomorrow.

Agk, wait. So, divination is straight out, yes? Since it technically doesn't change anything.

The whole lies and truths magic thing makes my character even better!

"I can hear the lies of the universe and the truth of the world and they twist about in my mind like a great maelstrom of deception!"

I don't see why not.  If you interpret it as casting of bones, reading of tea leaves/entrails, it could be whatever minor god is about giving you a clue.  As to whether it's helpful information or not, well, there's your die roll!

HMR stands for Hazardous Materials Requisition, not Horrible Massive Ruination, though I can understand how one could get confused.

Oh right.  Well, I never said I was smart!  I'll go with a different shade of blue, yes.  Also, I have a question about the undead as mentioned in the Four Plagues entry: are they mindless automatons, or individuals capable of thought and reason?

Actually, no. Not really. You're still kind of altering reality, in that you are transmitting information in a, shall we say, unlawful manner.

Ah, well, yes, kinda. It's up to you ultimately - in your model, it looks like it's kind of on the border between actual magic and some sort of priestly homeopathy shite. I just thought that it was fitting IC - Runner needs to know if somebody will try to murder him today. If the tea leaves say no, he suspects that they are the wrong kind of tea leaf, slipped into his tea by some diabolical enemy. You geddit.

This post was really dumb.  Let's all just pretend it never happened.
