So, uh. The plot got advanced before any reason could be established for Sophie to be following the group --her backstory is not that of a mercenary-- so I have to come up with something fast. My current headcanon is that she just sorta followed them and either wasn't noticed or wasn't bothered with or everyone thinks she's a mercenary.
