And according to my calcs if you pilum his face he's most likely toast. You can survive a hit.

Oh, yeah. I wasn't thinking about him when this this username was devised and I'm not sure I had even played FE8 back then. Since I'm not sure myself, it may have been an inspiration, though. Brain playing tricks on me etc.

Lycan's hit rate (without external sources) is 68 and Bonecrusher's is 82, which is why I said it's a matter of luck. My character can survive an axe to the face but I'd need to hit both attacks or get a crit to take him down.

If scap stops his move the odds are pretty much even, and if you hit only once Nanoha can toast him for good.
