I would go by 39 fortress years = 1 irl week, and we're talking about godly aged cheese here.
Would that even be any cheese left?
Wouldn't it just be liquid by then?

Can you brew cheese into alcohol?

Milk can be brewed. (Not sure if it can in vanilla DF, but I think there is/was a mod where it was possible.)
So I guess?

HE GOT THE 39 YEARS THING FROM THE SUCCESSION WORLD!
Also, to make cheese you need rennet, which is a fluid from the inside of a calf's stomach. It has to be a calf that has drunk nothing but milk. I... Um... Maybe you will need the godess - cow's calf's rennet to make the godly cheese... Is that how it works?

Milk fermentation is really complicated and requires multiple symbiotic organisms to break down the sugars into something that the yeast will ferment.  In a practical sense, it is not possible to ferment cheese into alcohol because those complex organism do not live on cheese (making cheese has historically been a way of preserving milk, and it is quite robust against infection unless you cut it).

BTW, I'm also hoping to do some cheese making IRL this year.  I've done it before and it was quite fun.

Use the lactaid (or generic) milk.

It has refined lactase added, which breaks down the lactose into more simple sugars. Enough that it tastes noticeably sweet.  If you add vegetable rennet to cause curd formation, you could probably ferment the resulting whey pretty easily.

I bet it would taste horrible though.

Well when you think about it. Dwarves can milk maggots and make minced fly brains. So it wouldn't surprise me if they could brew alcohol from cheese.
And remember old Norse/Scandinavian myth? Dwarves were master craftsmen who could make anything out of anything.

hi all,
new reader, got through this storyduring my spare time the last 3 days, wonderfull, please continue

posting to mark Cowsea reaction when milked. When you correlate with her story, you will see that she has never been since incarnation!
IRL, a non-milked cow is quite noisy, and will die after a week (I think?) of such dire treatment.
no wonder she was pissed when first talked to, that much pain ought to be unlawfull.

Misty> go ask Cowsea's blessing before working on her Holy Milk
pray Whatshisname306 to be gotten the Power to transform said Milk into Holy Cheese (He is *Death and Reincarnation", so transformation is his too)

Mark the corral+workshop as temple for Cowsea ("i" zone, "m" meeting hall, "l" assign location", "a" add location, select location, "t" temple, choose deity "Cowsea"
