It already has. Hence some levels being flooded and everybody being in danger of starving to death if the coincidental mechanic casual visitor doesn't hook up their drainage system for them.

Besides, nothing is going to work. This fort is run by savages, near a necromancer's tower, half-flooded, under new management, and completely lacking in aboveground pastures. We are in for a lot of failure and shenanigans.

Guys. Who gets blamed when things are going wrong. How many things seem to be going wrong. What normally is the result of the two of those.

She could command the dwarves of the fortress to bring all of the milk to her; she could command them to set up breeding areas for milkable creatures; there are hundreds of ways for her to make achieving her dream of making the best cheese ever easier to achieve by becoming overseer.

For me it seems like he saw blood first time in his life and so he's baffled. But he saw it several times just on the way here. Amazed that donkeys have blood too? Amazed that they are not immortal plump-helmet-man-eaters? Maybe he even considered the one who tried to eat him his friend?

-1 for "Misty The Overseer". This fast-food style clothing is totally not for her.

From a story telling perspective, I think it doesn't quite make sense to have her become overseer now.  In the future however, it could work very well.
