It may be drab, but my personal favorite stone is Basalt. Obsidian is probably better overall, but I like the dark grey color or Basalt just a touch more. I'm a sucker for the igneous rocks.

Misty should ask the elf (girl? boy? It's so hard to tell) what their favorite mineral is, and their favorite cheese. Romance has no place in an ambitious, forward moving, Gods blessed (maybe?) cheeser, at least not until a luxury bedroom has been dedicated for her and her future paramour. Besides, we have centuries for that.

Misty asking the elf what his favourite mineral is, is like the elf asking Misty what her favourite type of wood is. I dont think that Misty knows that there are different types, and the elf doesnt now about different types of stone. I mean, come on, rock is rock... right?

Well, Dwarves have a great variety of fungus wood to work with (some of it quite distinct, like nether cap). But I could see elves saying "Rock is rock." Unless they're into gems.

While I've loved the story up to this point, this panel reminds me of one of those "and this is the path they took" cartoons. Kinda surprised the path was actually relatively straight and practical. ;)

I've shared this with my buddy who also plays DF.

Glad you are enjoying it.

Anyway hey guy have a look at the status at the top of the panel their shields have the three circles like the gods halo's. But this was made before we even started talking about the gods. LOL

In fact, it's a pretty reoccurring theme in the drawing. There's one on top of the narrow spiraling staircase and an engraving of three people worshiping it. Judging by the dress, I guess the middle one is a priest?

More like asking who her favorite tree is. An elf asking you your favorite type of wood is like a human asking you what part of humans tastes best.

I always assumed the long part.  And elves would know what part of a human tastes best.

+1 to future dwarf/elf argument about their favorite minerals/trees.

I just realized that the three-linked-circles god symbol shows up several times in this picture, a whole chapter before we find out what it means.  Foreshadowing FTW.
Also, Reg and Holt.

I'd say its "the symbol of the civilization", thats why its engraved so often. And the middle figure is not a priest, but a craftsman who made a masterwork with the symbol.

Are you sure? It seems like one of the god artworks that show up so often...
