Just read this from start to finish (was a slow day at work), and I'm officially hooked.  'sweet Dwarven parkour' had me actually laughing aloud, prompting some curious looks from my colleague ;D

Many hailed him as a Smithing Hero; Nilning incarnate, the Dwarven God of Smithing himself!

I think this needs editing, since we have established the pantheon.

There are three dwarven civilizations, each with seven gods of their own.  The seven misty had to choose from were the patrons of her particular mountainhome.

Still, though, you're right.  It is confusing, and I intend to go back and clarify that a bit more.

Oh, I hadn't thought of that. Silly me.

Still, thanks.

Keep up the good work, mate.

Reg: Brag about kobold kills until Holt manages to crawl out of the hole/ambush the creature. Don't fret over repeating them a couple of times:  every one of your victories over the kobold menace is awesome enough to count as at least five.

well looking forward for misty to meet up with rigs and holt... though looking at their situation it's more likely going to be this
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

not to horribly doom Regs and holt to becoming a clown car for masterwork mess.

well good news this is old DF so all they need to do is break line of sight and be 3 tiles away from ol' red eye to escape.

oh and I guess holt was standing on the floorhatch which is why there's a hole there.

also it's not even night time so their fine, what's the odds this is a baby? not that it being a baby doesn't stop it from being lethal just askin.

Also:
Reg: Put your visor down (not that that does anything, but just to be safe). If you get a good shot, stab the creature in the foot (to slow it down and therefore make its attacks less accurate), and then watch for the chance to sever its neck. Failing that, stab it in the head if you get an opening. Both are almost guaranteed one-shot kills.
Let's give Reg a title, shall we? Should make things amusing when she's lording that over Holt.
+1 to this. Bonus points if it's a particularly silly title, like "The Idiocies of Socks".
