Simply move everyone to the other side by having them stay behind Plumpy and go one at a time. Move when the undead are looking the other way, then stop and crouch when they start to turn. With luck, they'll think it's just a large Plump Helmet, and won't wanna eat it. If not, weeeell... At least we have a distraction.

Everyone should step off the road and walk around the undead, maintaining the current distance (radius). If they notice us, we will be on higher ground. The undead may have more difficulty on roughish terrain as well. The higher vantage point will also allow us to see further along the road in case this isn't just an isolated case.

And misty should listen to the older dwarves. No theatrics now.

This is assuming we don't have some sort of cart that can't do the rough terrain.

we could also have misty run ahead and lead the undead off the road..... XD

Edit: Now that I think of it, maybe we should send a scout around to the crest of a hill to the flank of the road, in order to get an idea of where we are going.

Quietly wait for Rimtar to make a judgement call on what to do next.

Ask the sad little kobold zombie if you can help him carry something.

Be Misty. Run up happily to the 4 new friends and ask "Hey fellas, what are you doing? Beautiful day today isnt it. Whats up with that wall? You like some drinks? Or cheese? Do you like cheese? You smell like you like cheese."

Is one-arm holding a bar of soap?  Is he a zombie soap-maker?

That would be amazing, but I'm fairly certain it's masonry.

The undead are just building a wall guys, just let them build.

Toward what nefarious end?  It almost looks like they're walling off the road itself.
