I like Plumpy but any plot should be 1-2 pages a chapter or maybe in the background (literally) of other events.

+1 for background

All this cheesemaker necromancer fanwank makes no sense.

Why would a cheesemaker be a necromancer ? Because they're useless and rejected ? You mean a small animal dissector wouldn't be better ?

or something more fitting such as butcher/a healthcare job

Goddamn, I've been spending the last few days catching up on the pages I missed because I have an in-progress digital redo of the fanart I posted waaaay earlier in the thread and it wouldn't seem right to post it without catching up. (Also it's good incentive to keep up with a good story for once, which I haven't done in quite some time for convoluted reasons.) I left off at page 48, currently at 118. I didn't expect to miss this much, though 95% of it is just discussion.

Anyway, just letting you know you've (re)gained another reader, and that mollusk-slow fanart is on the way. :D

We're debating the nature of the owner of the Tower they passed more than Misty's future career. It would be mildly amusing if he were the Necrocheeser instead of a regular necromancer because it would make him more of an antagonist to Misty specifically instead of the fort in general.

Wait a minute, aren't all corpses stripped naked before being hauled off to the refuse pile?

Choose Dorkierdaffodil's corpse to haul. (Obviously) Maybe he's not all the way dead! Attempt resuscitation. (Possibly gross).

If he's really really dead, I bet I you know about someone who might be able to help! Someone nearby! Someone with specific useful tips and tricks regarding life and death!

If it is the necromancercheeser, this is a really badgood idea.
Fixed that for you.
Also, +1 to background rebellion.

Re: PHM rebellion vs armed soldiers: that's exactly why they don't rebell unless they massively outnumber the soldiers.
Plumpy: You are locked in a dark damp room that's visibly suitable for mushroom life. You have access to several other PHM, surely some are the opposite gender? Breed.
Or just wait until all the soldiers are otherwise occupied with FUN.

They make Plumpy their leader.

When they finally break out, Plumpy roars the command: "Release the spores!" The entire fort becomes infected. Some die. Some live and become slaves to the Plump Helmet Hivemind. The fungus begins growing everywhere. Plump helmet people begin life anew, with the above-ground sanctuary they had claimed.

Long live the cause.

Somebody needs to play PHM Fortress, slowly spread spores across the land and fend of vicious herbivore donkeys.

Hehe, who would have guessed plump helmet men rebellions would become so popular?

For anyone interested, the PHM overgrowth mod has been updated for DF2014.Link
