How the hell is Democracy Mode so demonized? I have never heard of anything bad happening from it, and frequent things like this where Democracy Mode would have let us--them, I mean--avoid clusterfraks.

Because Democracy Mode is horribly boring. Nobody argues about its effectiveness (if we're doing something easy, Anarchy is a bit faster; otherwise, Democracy is better), but it's no fun to watch. Democracy would be better-suited to something like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon or a roguelike, in my opinion.

Because Democracy Mode is horribly boring. Nobody argues about its effectiveness (if we're doing something easy, Anarchy is a bit faster; otherwise, Democracy is better), but it's no fun to watch.

You're missing the point. The stumbling, error-prone madness of Anarchy Mode is the entirety of TPP's appeal. Nothing amusing has ever happened in Democracy Mode, it is a necessary evil at best. If you want to watch somebody play Pokemon competently there are plenty of Lets Plays to choose from.

That said, I must share this from Reddit. It paints Lazorgator in a light that makes him... Awesome.

Lazor gator is getting alot of shit, but if you look at him from a certain angle, he is a genuine hero.

Right now, we have a mentally unstable boy, capturing groups of baby pokemon, all journeying together to battle the elite four. The pokemon are bound to this boy, and will be until they reach their goal. But these pokemon...they are all just babies! Little Togepi, baby smoochum, wooper, eevee and shuckie. All small, all fragile, all weak. Unable to take on the harsh world alone.

Then there is lazorgator. The starter. The pokemon most bound to his trainer above all others. This brash, hardened high level warrior, must take it upon himself to protect the young ones. To fight off all the horrors before them. He must do the work his mentally challeneged trainer cannot. Care for the children, take it upon himself to look after them.

Every victory he grows stronger, and the children grow more dependent on him. Every defeat kills him inside a bit. To see the ones he cares for, get beaten down, and him hopeless to help them. And what if one day he won't be around anymore? Then what? It is a double edged sword, a burden he must undertake.

And all the while his trainer is in two minds about him. Half loving him, half wanting to abandon him. His life is a battle, a living hell, but he does it. He endures, not for his trainer, not for himself, but for the young ones. The children, who have him as their only hope of survival.

For example, if it is deactivated between 12:00 and 12:59, it will reactivate at 1:00.

If you post multiple commands of the same text in quick succession or simply too many too fast Twitch will ignore it. If you do this multiple times Twitch will not accept any more messages from you for 30 seconds. Continue spamming, or if the chat is in fast mode from overloading with commands then you will get a 120-250 second timeout. Spam 20 times while ignoring warnings or capslock abusive will net a ban.
