Ok, woke up, had some breakfast, did some other stuff, and I come here to see we chose Totodile...

I'm sad because fire starter is always best starter. On the other hand, Totodile is probably the best for defeating Whitney.

Pnx

AWW YEAH! We got the rival name to the default Silver! I just woke up,and this was the first thing I saw. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that the player's name was defaulted.

Anyway, the fact that shiny Pokemon can appear now makes wild battles much more terrifying.

Edit: We just caught Bird Jesus 2.0
I wouldn't be surprised if we never encountered one apart from the red Gyrados. You know, given that the probability of one occuring is 1/8192... It's possible but over the course of a thousand wild Pokemon battles you only have about a 12% chance of encountering a shiny.

To get more than a 50% chance of encountering one shiny, you would need to fight 5678 battles (an amusing number). They're really that rare.

This is also a Pokemon game being played by thousand of people at one time. It will happen, because that is how things tend to go. Something that required immense luck will happen, and we will fuck it up.

Every dwarf, every dwarven man, women, and child, that comes to our forts will die there; it's truly sad when you think about it. And we ask our selves, why? Why do we push forward, knowing this fate, that we are destined for failure? Because, this game grasps the concept of mortality. Some games you can never lose, but we all stop eventually, causing a 'death' to those game's 'worlds'. Dwarf Fortress gives us a definite end, knowing that we will leave that world eventually, and move on to more.

Maybe we will get a zapdos-like miracle to happen again.

Oh my!

has begun!

If you ask me, AJ Downs' real quest is to change his name back after these events.

He no longer has a phone and must tell Lance in person.

I just remembered that I stopped playing gold last time when I got bored trying to make my eevee like me without leveling it so it could learn some dark type move when it becomes umbreon. (Gonna have to continue that, actually in memory of the wronged eevee/flareon)

What Im wondering is what happens when it becomes possible to get eevee from bill in that johto equivalent of Celadon I cant rememver name of. If people werent prejudiced about eevees Id say get eevee but it probably would cause trouble now that people are so suspicious of it.

E: Lance is number 5battle in gen2 and the champion.

Actually recent thoughts on Eevee have been considering getting it and turning it into a competition between the US and Australia to see who can evolve it first because of the time split~

There's 70k people playing right now. Well, 70k watching and probably 10k or so playing, but still.

I'm surprised the internet still cares after beating Blue.

I know the feeling. They beat Blue at 4 AM over here, so I missed the chance to watch it live. sniff

The new mechanics are... interesting. Democracy is now automatically activated every hour. If the top-voted command is 'anarchy', it switches back. At least there's no more 'anarchy/democracy' spam.
