I've already seen some bots/people advertising junk in the game chat. They were few and far between, however, and were pretty much drowned out by everyone else. I'm going to assume that you're talking about something more obvious/annoying though.

Yeah, like creating a game and making people think it's an indie game that the guy wants everyone to play at once, then he will release it to the public for free. Everyone jumps on board and after a few days there's a "DRINK MORE OVALTINE" moment.

Or you can text commands to their company's number and it changes what the little mascot on their website does based on voting.

Or a live feed of a pizza guy and he makes the pizza exactly as he's commanded, with the feed voting being converted into a single command at a time - like the XKCD comic. Except then you realize there are all these Pizza Hut logos everywhere in the scene.

The question that I have if they're going to do a sequel is when is the first game complete? As well as not having a fail state, pokemon games also don't have a win state. Is this game considered over after we beat the elite 4? After we fight Mewtwo? Because it's a hacked rom is it over after we catch all 150 pokemon?

That's the elite 4 + the final rival battle. That's 5 matches in a row against very strong pokemon, likely without heals because we can't coordinate item use. The grind will be long and painful.
