I don't follow this, but yesterday I was playing SC2 arcade with some guys. One of them paused the game for 10 minutes because he had a job interview. Guess which was the first subject that came out? Yeah, this Pokemon social experiment.

I still can't believe how this became so popular.

Next to the Team Rocket guy looking for his partner? I watched it live and the last pokémon (a Nidorino I think) was eventually taken by a Koffing. Hence this.

If xKeeper's stream has accurate info, we currently have a swarm of "down bots" keeping us from making it to Viridian. I guess they don't have anything better to do? 

Not that I can talk if I have time to comment on it, I guess.

They want to go to "Red's PC" to juggle our inventory around (specifically, getting rid of the pokeflute) since it's a "safe" PC that can't release pokemon.

We tried that. For a while, the Flute was deposited... but we kept fiddling. We've now lost the Strength HM (which would be good for the Fonz) and still have the silly flute.

The problem, of course, is that most untossable key items do nothing when you use them in battle, while the Flute wastes a turn. It's a major liability, and if we get to the Elite Four and lose because of turns spent tweeting, there'll be a major push to deposit the flute... in the Indigo Plateau PC, which could very well trigger more releases (or at least screw up our acceptable team composition).
