Probably the best way for abra to level up...use all of teleport then struggle 8)

Lol, while trying to catch a Marill, the 30 second delay caused us to catch 2 other pokemons. Our party is now full, with half of it being poochyenas. And a Marill in the PC. Well, I guess we know what's going to be attempted soon. Prepare your popcorn folks.

Current mons are now:
With us: Abra, Torchic, Poochyena, Nincada, Poochyena, Poochyena
In PC: Marill

The new layout of PCs in the third gen seems to actually be helping us here, even if it takes more time to retrieve the 'mons.

By 'helping', I assume you mean 'making it unlikely that we'll release someone by accident'.

It's not helping our attempts to actually withdraw something, but at least no permanent damage has been done... yet.
