That's fine- these sort of games aren't for everyone. In that case, I'll process the season when I get back on a proper computer, probable  about seven hours time. If a new 6th player wants to join in before then, they're more than welcome.

I thought I'd said, but looking back maybe I didn't, but you can only embark on a tile next to the ocean. Also, you need four actions to expand into a mountain tile (three if you're a troll civ). Otherwise, Merciless Monkeys are great (you can't be both trolls and monkeys, sorry!)

Unfortunately, ocean-going vessels can't travel up the rivers (the map was designed with entry on the edges in mind). This also doesn't get around the issue of not having enough actions to expand into mountains.

Also note that, with the exception of Viking longboats (which mostly travel near shore anyways), basically no oceangoing vessels can go into rivers.

YEAR ONE SUMMER

The settlers arrived, fencing off plains and chopping down forests. Some expanded, others tried to make crops grow on the land, the East Hexian Company did both. The new settlers shivered in their log cabins as the sound of merciless monkeys' blood-thirsty cries filled the night...

I am just updating the second post with new stats. As well as any special Heresy actions, you can do any of the following: Expand, Improve, Raze, Raid, Fortify (note the updated rules for razing in the OP). Lidku and Ironyowl can't directly interact with anyone else this round, so you two can submit your actions out of turn if you like. Elsewise, a1s' East Hexian Company are up!

The turn order is:
a1s [pop. 4]
kaian-a-coel [pop 2]
Lidku [pop 1]
IronyOwl [pop 2]
scapheap [pop 1]
GreatWyrmGold [pop 1]

Perhaps you didn't notice, but you're surrounded by forest, which is difficulty +1 terrain, meaning it takes two actions to expand into it. This turn, you could Improve your land to make a city (giving you +1 population),  Fortify it, or Raze it into desert. I've decided to make a slight tweak to Razing, to make it slightly more useful: when you Raze a tile, you gain a one-off +1 population. OP updated as such.
