No numpad at all. My old laptop has one that you need to use the Fn key to access, but this one has none whatsoever. It's a Dell XPS 15z, also known as "one of the worst laptops ever created, and if only I had bought it in this country instead of having it brought to me from America, where it was cheaper, I would have returned it immediately and gotten something that isn't such a giant, overpriced pile of shit." There is no numpad, the keyboard is shit in general, it has a very powerful processor and pretty good graphics card but only one tiny little fan and a useless heatsink that just sits on top of the hot parts of the hardware, so I can't even run Starbound without overheating after a while (and that's in the winter, when I keep the apartment cold - in the summer I can't play games at all). I have actually burned my fingers by touching the computer just above the keyboard (where the "heatsink" sits) while trying to run a 3d game. The trackpad software doesn't work, the wifi controller barely works (and only sometimes), and even the "chrome" edging is just plastic painted with cheap silver paint which has already rubbed off in many places. The coup de grace is that the case was designed to not be opened, and you have to rip certain pieces apart to get inside, to clean out the dust or try to figure out what the fuck the creators of this thing were smoking when they designed it.
It was $1500.
In other words, I'll never buy a Dell again for the rest of my life, and if I ever manage to save up enough money to buy a new computer again, I will get one designed for gaming which has good customer reviews...
But that's not likely to happen for a long time, so I'll have to see if my old Inspiron 1525 can handle KeeperRL. I used to be able to play DF on it okay - I would manage around 50 FPS if I kept the embark area at 2x2. It's actually a very good computer despite being outdated, which is why I foolishly thought it would be a good idea to buy a Dell again this time around.
