You can only see summons. Not summoners.

A summoner who has a summon is bound to it no matter how far from the stone they might be. Any summoner worth his salt has at least 1 summon and I'd sense it's presence. If one of them is a summoner he's so junior he'd probably explode if he tried to summon a demon.

Just because it's bound to him doesn't mean that it's around to be sensed.

Besides given that I found a powerful stone thats very nearby to where we're going if one of the gnolls was a summoner it would already be bound and it's not. So the odds of a summoner being nearby with it plus the other 4 all sitting ripe for the picking is very slim.

Uhm yeah it kinda does, the summons presence is linked directly to the summoner. Thats how summoners work when they have a summon bound into a stone to big to move.

Level up for everyone! Grats. Everyone gets two attribute points to spend.

Rubra and Carl haven't used any skills yet.
Hardly my fault.

Try lol. Or at least if you have to kill it try not to do to much damage. I can use the summon body to repair some damage.
1. This game isn't all about you. If it's a choice between "Don't Get Hurt" and "Get Trebor Another Pet," the former gets priority every time.
2. Seriously. This isn't IMing.

If they were summoners I'd feel it bud. He's the one who set the rule that summoners can feel summons to begin with. Maybe 1-2 of them that I didn't see can but not all.
It's up to Sanure you know.
It's entirely possible that your sense isn't as acute as you imagine. Or that it isn't as long-ranged. Or that there are ways of concealing oneself from it.

A summoner who has a summon is bound to it no matter how far from the stone they might be. Any summoner worth his salt has at least 1 summon and I'd sense it's presence. If one of them is a summoner he's so junior he'd probably explode if he tried to summon a demon.
...assuming that the summon is out. And, again, able to be sensed. Are you going to claim you can sense every summon in the whole world?

What's been going on, anyways?

Everyone is sleeping and Troden might die. So everything is going well.

We hunted, sparring, Kyle got insulted again, Troden walked off on his own and got jumped by a undead wolf-thing.

I went through all of this with the gm a while ago.

MY senses are fine, outside of combat if I'm meditating my senses will pick up any summon in the area I'm focusing on summoned or not. I detect the summons presence not it's body and since that presence is attached to the summoner it's bound to. Nobody in the area I searched is a summoner.

I did already say there might be one outside of the area I was checking but given rarity it's doubtful especially when factored in with 5 summons in the area none of which had been bound. What summoned would ignore that chance?

If all summoners are like Torben? Most of them.

That makes no sense.

I'm collecting them so if they are all like me and a gnoll was 1 they'd have been collected years or decades ago.

The kind that isn't fond of sticking their hand into a blazing fire.  Depends on how powerful "powerful" is, not just relative to the strength of a god-touched like Torben, but to the average gnoll summoner.

Oh, not to mention that we don't know much about gnoll culture.  There might be a superstition about that particular stone that they avoid it.  Or maybe its old summoner just died and it hasn't been rebound yet.

I'm sure a Gnoll is a more pleasant person.
