Not including that 1 then.

The other 4 are all low level. Spider woman is level 2, so is snake man neither had any protection and the other 2 aren't much stronger.
Even a rookie summoner could handle them.

The major 1 has a guardian. It's summoner didn't die at random it was placed there which could explain it. But unlikely.

Ok, things on summons and Summoners

If Torben Looks for Summons he would get Both Bound and Unbound Summons. He did this once, Found 5 Summons on the path going to the destination. That means he specified where to look.

If torben had not specified, the range would have been so short that he wouldnt have found but 1.

Unbound Summons are a common thing. Only that summoner's can find them or even identify them.

Lastly, you can usually find a summoner by following the link of the bound summon's spellstone. In torben's case he keeps his spell stone on him. He probably has already attracted the attention of another summoner. Could be a Gnoll summoner for all i've planned. They do have a few.

Any other questions?

Why do nonsummoners or even nonmagic characters seem to get screwed over?

Players with minions do seem to have an advantage, with how they can churn them out.

Yeah I did notice that which is why I decided not to use zombies at all and bind any minions I take.

Meaning all but my pups are subject to the summon limitation and the pups are over a year from combat ready.

...What range does this sense have? Alexandria seems to think she should be able to sense all summons that would be near our route, which means basically half the world in total.

Why do nonsummoners or even nonmagic characters seem to get screwed over?
Math.

They aren't getting screwed over. Yeah, The one summoner in the group has 3 summons. He can only keep 2 out at a time and they can be defeat really easily if you know what to do.

the goemancer has 9 golems. 6 of which are burnable and the other 3 can be shattered by a well placed strike.

Mana itself is used up a lot. the basic spell costs 35 mana to cast. The bigger you make the spell, the more mana it uses. A medium spell costs 70 mana to cast and a large spell costs 140. Thats two large spells at most. All it would take is one well placed sword slash and a mage is dead.

Maintaining a minion during combat is the hard part. During combat your mana regens at a rate of 15 mana per post. With one minion maintained cuts that down by half.

Basically 15>7>3>1>0<-2<-6<-14<-28 and so on. If Zita entered combat and used all 9 of her Golems she would suffer a -28 mana per turn.

That gives her 9 turns with her golems before they stop moving and reacting to the battle.

Summons work on the same principle but a little differently.

Torban can have 2 summons out at one time. summoning during battle takes up 100 mana. That means that if 8 blades gets defeated he has to summon the spider lady to replace him. If she gets defeated that means he only has Wolfenstien left. If wolfenstien gets defeated, Torban has to rely on his spellcraft to protect him

Not seems to think. Did. I did it before we left the tavern and the strong one is near our destination.

I sensed out the whole way.

Two summons out at once is still two more attacks per turn. It doesn't matter how much mana they aren't getting back because the won't change a thing.

Also, can demons be bound by people? I don't think they should since that would add power to something already over powered.

Especially since the summoner can also attack.

Also, um...how are we moving nine golems around? No way they're all active.

They are.

Outside of combat mana doesn't drain so they can be active all day long without a problem.

Math.

She detected the summons that were along the route, yes. This was because she only did the route. Meaning the road. Consider that the route the caravan is taking is a straight line. All 5 of those spellstones she sensed were on that line. IF she had tried to sense all of the spell stones near the route, she would have found 2 at most. possibly just the one behind the barn near the northern exit of town. Probably doesn't help that Torban is talked to by the gods.

AS for the demons being bound to a person. No. But you can enter into deals with them.
Also, Everyone has magic, even Kyle has magic. Cymea has magic. Vulpa has magic. Point being You should ask me more questions. I am here for this.

@GWG What Alexandria said with this point. As long as Zita (USEC) Still wants to maintain the Golems, They are constantly moving. Its a choice. If they decide not to maintaint, the golems fall inactive until someone with sufficient goemancy training brings them back to life.

He did say earlier that you can be trained.

You just need somebody to do it, for instance I can train any of you to summon.
