But that would have spoilers oAo

Anyways, It is defensible because of the large number of trees already forming a natural pallisade.

Plot relevant is because of the proximity it is to the big bad and the bigger bad.
That's...ummm...it might be the materials to produce a palisade, but the first thing we're going to want to do after building a palisade is clear the trees and undergrowth away from it to set up clear lines of fire, as far as defensibility is concerned.  Unless our final destination is on a hill overlooking a natural harbor or something.

Huh. That makes the second time today I have placed an adjective on the wrong spot in a sentence. That was supposed to the:

And anyways. For now, expect something bad to happen in say.... 30 posts.

Well I think we can choose our own final location. Search the woods for a place that suits us.

I vote we build Minas Tirith. As long as Gnolls are Orcs we can be Gondor and build the stupidest fortress ever invented.

heh. They are nothing like the orcs. A little less mooks, but a little more slaughter them now so they don't get allies.

Another one? Am I the only one eagerly/impatiently awaiting the actual settling of the Merthy Wood to begin?

We've already had multiple events. And one is really enough.

Well it's not down to us and this one does make a lot of sense. You'll be involved this time as well and it'll help us for later.
