Kaje's and
walnut's preferred nations have signed up with XCOM yet, so if either of you loosen your nationality preferences, I can set up your soldiers. Our remaining volunteers hail from

Garroth: It's been quiet. Most of our battle brothers and sisters have left the Apothecarium, recovered from their battle wounds.
Dr Vahlen tells us her team has made good progress on manipulating alien materials, allowing us to manufacture basic torso protective armour.
Garroth: She's also hinting
rather strongly that her team should start working on understanding the biology of these xenos we fight. While I understand her priorities, I am rather disturbed by the thought of working near xenos, even if they are dead.
*involuntary shudder*
Bradford: Commander, the Council is calling us on a secure line.
Garroth: Bring them up on the big screen.
Shadowy Council Spokesperson: I'll cut to the chase: we have been sufficiently impressed with XCOM's progress so far. Your methods might be unorthodox, but at the end of the day the job gets done. We were slightly disappointed that Dr Marazuki never made it out from Fortaleza, but that's not a big blot in your copybook. Council out.
Bradford: The British army have sent us a request to test some of the torso armour Dr Vahlen's team has developed. We don't have many in stock at present, so I'd advise you to think carefully before you decide to give them away.
