Alright, (Can I keep the traded cards I gave to TopHat secret, still?)

You don't have to say what cards you're holding, only the ones you're using. I believe in the first Shallow Space we said which cards we were trading. The PMs are only there so that I don't miss over your action.

Here, I'll just re-write it.

I'll trade my two non-Fire Brigade cards to TopHat in exchange for his RedShirt and Phaser Rifle. I then use the RedShirt card, giving me 3 Redshirts total.
I then move to our warp room, and teleport over to the Dark Drake.
I then use both Fire Brigade cards on whichever player is within range, priority going toward GWG. My phaser rifle assists the attack, doing a total of (2[rifle]+3[Fire Brigade]+3[Fire Brigade]) for a total of 8 damage.

Pretty sure you're not. Teleporting only works if the enemies shields are down.

So our shields should be perfectly fine then, since they absorbed no damage at all from the attack.

Ow, I think I found it.

Any damage is the keyword here. Apparently that includes card self inflicted damage. As you can see, the shields absorbed the 4 damage that should have gone to the hull sections. They had similar effects  on the other ship. Which brings me to the logical question: Will a plasma grenade / plasma bomb / blaster/ phaser rifle be stopped by the shields as well. No exception is noted, so technically it should.

Anyway, more questions. Shouldn't the S.S. Emperor's crew have lost 1 redshirt each, from the ramming damage. Currently, they're completely undamaged, which seems to be in conflict with:

I mean, GWG lost a redshirt.

You would expect ramming a ship would take down both sides shields.

Unless we're playing bumper cars.
I expect ramming to take out both ships, and space combat to be incredibly dull and boring as you wait 30 minutes + before the first salvo arrives.

And that pretty much any hit with a decent weapon would destroy the whole ship, not just damage a tiny bit of it.

And that shields wouldn't be, because seriously what are they.
