Kyle gently puts a hand on Selina's shoulder.
"Hey, I know that you aren't going to be executed. You wouldn't hurt anyone on purpose would you? No, I can tell from your panic you wouldn't. So, just calm down. How about this, I'll stay with you for as long as possible and make sure you are okay. Okay?"

Selina pushes his hand away again, too afraid to be reassured by someone who could well be a criminal as well.

Kext, currently occupying a corner of the room, starts to become quite nervous with all this execution talk. His eyes dart about as he carefully examines the rest of the people in the room, pursing his mouth and raising a single eyebrow. Technically, he hadn't done anything worth executing him over, so he probably wasn't in too much danger. As far as he knew. Maybe. And now there was a sorceress or witch losing it in the corner. Given the general temperament of magical people, or what Kext has heard of it, anyway, this room may very well become violent in a matter of minutes.

"if'n they were, I'd have been dead a week now, and the crows'd be well-fed. No sense ta be killin' us, 'least not yet."

"For what it's worth, in the times to come, I consider you all my crew. Which means you're family. Now, that doesn't mean I'm not gonna smack you if you do something right daft, but it means I'll stick up for you. Don't worry. Cap'n's promise."

The(quickly checks the sheets of the others) shortest person in the room quip "Shy, ain't you. I'm going to call you Bunny." the tanned 'child' then look at Kyle "And I should of known you would be that type."
