Selina just lays there, hoping her injuries wouldn't kill her. She takes a few herbs, unfortunately raw, to help deaden any pain and hopefully induce sleep?

She rolls her eyes, sighing. "Well, at least I found her..." she murmurs to herself, looking for a way down into the ravine.

Gather the crystals into a pile, generate a forcefield around them and then tighten and collapse it on them to crush or compress them.

Kyle frowns and follows it.
"Sentience... EXCITING!"
It continues crawling away.
Also your definition of "sentience" is different than most peoples'.
...
EXCITING. Unlike the bang in the distance, which is boring.

Selina just lays there, hoping her injuries wouldn't kill her. She takes a few herbs, unfortunately raw, to help deaden any pain and hopefully induce sleep?
[1(oh come on)+1=2]
You eat some herbs. No clue what they're going to do to help but they don't hurt. You do start to get a bit hungry, though. And you think you hear some loud sound in the distance.

She rolls her eyes, sighing. "Well, at least I found her..." she murmurs to herself, looking for a way down into the ravine.
[3]
Well, you can climb down easily, and there are some nice roots that should hold your weight if you don't do anything crazy on them. You slide down to Selina, who has tied her clothes in tourniquets around her limbs for no discernible reason. Also lacking discernible reason is a distance crack.

"*gurgle* *sputter* *hack*" Kext said eloquently.

Seek medical attention!
You eloquently make inarticulate noises and locate a medic, who promptly begins trying to stop you from dying.
Endurance: [4]
No Malpractice: [4+1]
You are being treated and no longer need to worry about bleeding to death. For the moment. Probably.
Oh wait, there's an explosion! That sounds bad.
You: [3+1=4]
Medic: [5+1=6]
You are both unharmed.

"...any chance of you leaving me alone?"

Create a metal spear and strike
The bear does not respond.
Power: [5-0.2-0.2=4]
Control: [4+0.2-0.3=4]
You create an iron spear thingy. Grr.
Bear Attack: [4v1]
[3+1.2-0.2=4]v[2+0.4=3]
The bear mauls you, cutting your arm. [Bleeding]
You stab it.
[3+0.4-0.1=4v2][6+1-0.1=6]v[5+1=6]
You stick the spear into the bear's chest, getting it stuck. The bear doesn't seem to notice, but there's no way that isn't hurting it.
You hear a bang in the distance. Probably...well, worry about it later.

Gather the crystals into a pile, generate a forcefield around them and then tighten and collapse it on them to crush or compress them.
Alright. First, a shell around them.
Power: [4+1=5]
Control: [1-1=FUCK]
Oh my. Oh dear. Um. How does this turn out.

Well. You create a shell around the crystals. Then a shell forms around that one, and one around that one. You back away to avoid being grabbed by some of the shells. You hurridly try to compress and destroy the light shells.
Power: [2+1+1=4]
Control: [2-1-1.3=-1]
You smash the light shells together, causing an explosion of light shards and crystal dust, all moving at extreme velocity. You are at ground zero.

You: [5-0.2-1=3]
You take a shard of crystal to the shoulder. It hurts like hell, and you shouldn't use that arm for a while.

Now for the two rather important NPCs.
[2+0.2=3]
[6+0.4=7]
You seem to have clipped the prince.
"Do we not have enough problems yet?!?"

"Say, doc, what do y'think? There's all these fools running around making noise, crystals and dangerous crap. Y'think the two of us can kill 'em all and restore the peace? I think that posh guy who got us here'd like that."

Ask. Get treated.

Also, try to summon an oil elemental under my control. Outside, preferably.

Well, since Selina apparently can't feel her limbs from the fall, she lays there, unsure what to do.

It's more from the tourniquets.

You don't, not with magic. That reminds me, though, others should be getting XP.

Dust hands.
That'll do it!

Scootch off into a nearby medical tent and pray no one saw that happen while convincing a doc to treat my wound(s).

((Did Logan see the prince get nailed? That might be something worth feeling guilty about. That was hilarious. c:

Also what was the -1 on control for? Just curious.))

You're cursed. They always get -1 Control.

Why no levels from magic?
Same reason you couldn't take magical skills at the start: There are no magical skills to level up in.
