You've never been one to be a wasteful eater and there's no reason to stop now. You keep drinking - not quite until his heart stops, but about another liter's worth before the thugs notice a distinct lack of horking.

"Johnny?"

No longer confused, and with a full sense of presence, you slide under the table, place your feet on the bottom, and push hard - sending the heavy wooden table in an arc towards the thugs. There's a solid, meaty smacking sound, followed quickly by the sounds of impact and shattering bone. One thug was unfortunate enough to have a corner of the ruined and tilted desk land on his rib cage, while the other was merely crushed at an angle below the waist.

As far as it goes, you've never been one to waste food, either.

Simply DELICIOUS!

You feel so ALIVE! Tingling and humming, like a contented predator. If you had a tail, you'd be wagging it. You methodically strip the desk and thugs of anything useful, retrieve your purse, use the multiple passkeys to send multiple elevators down, and then promptly start climbing up the elevator shaft.

The roof? The roof, they won't look for me there...

Your smile fades.

...they won't have to. The sun is coming up in less than three hours. Now what?

Take the two revolvers, the cash, the phone, and the keys.

(Anything else?)

Yea use the chemicals of the janitors to spray the room, if there is flammable material use it to burn the place down, if not, use the chemicals to clean fingerprints and such.

Take the cognac for trading with hobos. Perhaps also get some less bloodstained clothes from one of the thugs, if any of them have any presentable clothing.
Also, the "days to find a master" thing seems to be 3/3 already when it was 0/3 just a few pages ago.

(Oh, he explained that. It's counting down, not up, and that was a typo. There's a post... somewhere, saying that he didn't mean for the game to end instantly.)

[Yeah, I totally blew it in the first few posts. The way I had typed it implied that you needed to find a vampire master three days before the game started, which would be... improbable in a game like this. Now it's just a deadline that is of some importance, but much, much lower than "Escape the building and get cover from the sun."

Also, this may have been implied, but dear Jackie was a plain vanilla mortal executive secretary to a mob boss and her total knowledge of vampires comes from bad fiction and pop culture. There's no handy taxi driver waiting for you down below, ready to enlighten you as to your powers, and possession doesn't imply mastery, either.]

Before leaving, you recall a scene from a certain movie, and promptly splash a bunch of ammonia all over everything. If it worked for the Boondock Saints, it'll totally work for you in reality, right?

Sure, why not?

You're not quite sure what will burn, and since you don't breathe, you just up-end all of the chemicals, apply the lighter, and get the hell out of there.

As such, after a bit more climbing, you see thick smoke starting to climb up the shaft, and hear the sound of the fire alarm going off. That changes things. Some people are still working, and there's a full evacuation plan. You (briefly) pause to consider just evacuating the building from downstairs, and then remember the whole "bloodstained" thing.

You've managed to get about ten stories by the time the elevators hit the ground floor. Thirty-one to go before you hit the helipad up top.

I need a plan here. Don't think I'm going to do a Neo impression anytime soon...

ptw!

some rooms should have auto sprinklers in them right? If you've a lighter in your purse, set one off and get blood stains off clothes. I guess you could use your gun to persuade the sprinkler system also.

Get naked, and run downwards, if anyone asks, tell them you escaped a rapist.

You open the door on the next floor, carefully close it again, note your gain in self-control while full, and then start taking the stairs down. Normally, you'd walk briskly two steps at a time, but given the need to hustle, you take it a flight at a time, relying on the guard rail to prevent yourself from cannonballing through a wall and/or making any evacuees wonder if the building was falling apart. When you get past the smoke, you can see a mess of hair bouncing, and slow down your pace to something you think you'd manage in a hurry back when you were alive.

By the time you and your co-workers get down the stairs, a policeman is waving people through. You can hear sirens wailing and blend into the crowd, grateful that your dark clothing hides the blood at night. Eventually, someone's bound to notice the shotgun, though.

Now what?

Split off into an alleyway and head through there to get home. Usually you'd be worried about muggers, but then again, you're a vampire. Mugging a vampire is a really bad idea.

Head cross the street; stash the guns somewhere concealed and wait for the excitement to die down. once the police and fire trucks are gone, get guns, get car, go home for now...
