Russian biathlonist Anton Shipulin was very close to winning gold, but because of an unfortunate miss, he finished fourth. That was really unlucky.
Ole Einar Bjørndalen deserved  the gold more. That's a proper way to retire for a legend like him. I am very happy that he managed to win that gold medal in his last season, biathlon will never be the same without him... he is like Jordan for basketball or Schumacher for Formula One

Anyone know where I could get good video sports coverage online of the Curling? I'm not partisan to any of the teams, I don't care about the results, I just want to see some of best curling teams in the world play some curling but I don't have time to watch all games in full.

Some people got a little angry over the US figure skating team. Apparently dressing up as James Bond while skating to Skyfall is in bad taste now.

Who thinks it's bad taste? Americans, Russians, general people? Sounds perfectly fine to me, but I haven't seen this no doubt glorious spectacle.

The BBC website has a good live streaming section, but it is a lil GB-centric. Today they showed a fair old bit of curling, not just the GB teams too! Of course, this is only availiable to residents in the UK, but there are ways and means around that which I do not condone and will not mention due to my respect for the forum rules.

Curling is truly the only way to test the limits of human spirit and physicality. Gold in curling is gold over all.

I just love the way it is a sport based on delicate control friction and momentum, played on a surface with minimal friction and with objects with lots of momentum.

They should put a circle of cameras on the curling stone so you can turn your view throughout the shot in a 360, but your view in the recording remains fixed even if the stone isn't stable. Or watch the feed with that option unchecked and get a ride that's exactly what the curling stone sees. Feel every 1mm bump. Watch the spray of ice shavings from inside the spray.

Scotland actually contributes a number of great curlers to the British Olympic teams. Fitting given that we invented the sport itself around 500 years ago. If only it was a Commonwealth Games sport maybe we could win some more gold medals.

Hey, come independance, I would suspect Scotland would do OK in the winter olympics as most of the UK's medal hopes tend to be Scottish (granted, our only real medal hopes do tend to be curling, save for the odd sliding event).
