Hi there! It's been a while since I did my last
Freehold release. This is because I was both busy, and I was making
this. This being a copy of DF optimized for community gameplay. I tried to keep things vanilla in general, only enabling the things we do anyway/changing things for improved gameplay.
If anyone has more features to suggest, go ahead and do so in the thread below.
Note: The mod currently uses the Phoebus tileset by default. If you want to change that, change that. If you don't know how to remove/install tilesets, you can find out on the
wiki.
What's in
this? Well, I'm glad you asked:
- More FPS (Lifted from Meph's Accelerated DF Mod
- Bugfixes and rebalancing from Igfig's Modest Mod
- All civs (excepting dwarves) now generate visitable cities
- All civs build roads, fortresses, tombs, walls, and bridges for a more detailed adventure mode world
- All civs now have a diplomat position, and send guards with their caravans
- New Overseer noble position: Has no responsibilities or requirements except a tomb. Helps keep track of your Overseers.
- More goblins and kobolds spawn by default! Enjoy your warfare.
- All animal people are now trainable by default for hunting or war.
- All creatures lacking the capability to reproduce in vanilla now can reproduce.
- Nice, wide open caverns!
- DF Storymaker 1.0 Integration
- Legends Viewer Integration
You can download the mod
here. Upcoming Features:
Please make suggestions!
-All animals trainable by default
-Back to vanilla graphics by default/more preinstalled tilesets.
-Fixed: Goblins now continue to use war-animals and mounts after their general's death.
-DF2014 port! Lots of stuff!
-All races have an innate discipline level high enough to prevent them from fleeing in terror in just plain silly situations (megabeasts recoiling after killing a dwarf, goblin raiders breaking down after killing your livestock, etc) while allowing the new features to continue being relevant.
If you're interested in joining/starting your own succession game,
this is the thread for you!
It is highly important that new rebalances and bugfixes be suggested in the thread! I don't have the ability to find every single issue the community would like, especially with frequent updates. Thanks!
