For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Use your computer to heat water and make a steam engine. Then use said steam engine to charge your afformentioned computer thereby creating an infinite battery life.

My computer DON't ShutDown for 2-3 months.
Last restart is a week ago.
When I sleep,only close monitor.... 8)
I don't think it is real hot.
CPU is 42
Graphic is 43
that two on motherboard.
Edit:I don't shutdown my widow since
OS change to window 8.

TURN THAT SHIT OFF. Holy crap.
I don't wanted to turn off.
When my computer turn off and later turn on,I found freeze everything(pointer and keyboard) at least three times(sometime 5 times) every 10min(or 30min) to become normal.

I'd check the fan on your motherboard and make sure it's clear of junk and still turns. That is an unacceptable heat level and hot enough to eventually damage components. The fact your HDDs are at about 100 degree Fahrenheit too is also not good.

If you were piloting a mech, sexy computer would be saying "SHUTDOWN IMMINENT" right now.

It would not surprise me to learn that everything freezes because you've damaged components by running it too hot for so long.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Also, Windows updates usually happen at startup and shutdown, so there's that too.

Honestly, every time you come off the computer (for an extended period. e.g. sleep), you ought to shut it down.

It extends its life, start up doesn't take very long, and it saves electricity.

Hee hee, I never shut mine down.  Feels to much like murder...   :o

Honestly I think every time you turn off a computer it gives an extra chance for something terrible to happen, like a spider laying eggs in my videocard or windows updates.

Don't forget that the Motherboard is at 262 degrees farenheit (128 degrees celsius)
