Martigan also has lying, so there's that.

A dual leadership style works well enough. I'll handle contracts, schmoozing, and politics (oh, and money, because, I have some), you handle combat, recruiting, and team dynamics. I suggest that this division of labor is fluid, however, and input is always valued from all the senior team members.

Also, Kitten McFluffles will handle Morale, Mice Acquisition and Consumption, and Butterfly Harassment.

Agreed. I will be the Warband Leader in accordance with your Peacetime Politics.

On another note, what should our group name be? I'm currently in favor of the NQRC for Not Quite as Redshirty Currently.

The Nation of MostlyNotEngland and DefinitelyNotFrance are gearing up for war. Border towns of the two nations are recruiting infantry and levies to face the impending bloodshed.
A minor skirmish has broken out on the border of ProbablyNotFrance and MaybeNotItaly. Reports say the local militia, though underequipped and overwhelmed, are holding their town against the enemy.

Arbitrary headcount is maxed.
What should you do?

As the battle is winding down.
1. Start deciding on a name and leader for YOU.
2. Start thinking about what kind of payment you want (as impromptu militia leaders). Ask for too much and you'll be killed to save money, mind you (assuming you can't justify out of it well enough)

Continue firing. Rally the troops, be on the lookout for the friendly army.

What size is this town? What is the economy like? I suggest we ask for the pay of one company http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Company_%28military_unit%29 (one week's pay), and the opportunity to recruit amongst the survivors, as well as some basic provisions for our group. It's maybe a tad much, but we can negotiate.

Well, Bobert was kind of hoping to build a blockade with the stuff.
And as far as interesting stuff Bobert was looking for stuff that might have been useful in the battle.
These people and Bobert do not understand each other well...

Bobert will be more specific.

>Bobert explains that he wants them to grab things like tables and chairs (barrels, buckets, crates, etc). Anything that can be moved quickly and stacked on either side of the alley way. If a gap is left in the middle the enemy forces will need to travel through single file making them easier to pick off. Bobert is not asking for them to bring rich stuff to Bobert. Bobert would much like to see a broken wagon wheel... or shovels... pitchforks... hell, Bobert would be happy with the scrapings from the stables... Bobert needs to know what Bobert can use. Only then can Bobert shine.

Harold tells the Militiamen to hold the line!

Give rallying speech!

"They may take our lives, they may also burn your homes and rape your wives! But they will never take, our freedom!"

Harold needs to practice.

Wait for our allies to do the cleanup!

I vote that we be called... The Honey Badgahs!tm*

Pronounced "badge-ahs"

Request better weapons/armor as payment. As much as they're willing to give, because I don't want to be killed by allies.

@Ozarck

This is fairly small town; think minor farming community that's largely neglected by local lords because it lacks any sort of significance. Walls are made of wood, gates are more like large reinforced doors.

And keep in mind you are asking for payment for Yourself. The units you're attached to disappears at the end of this battle (because they are levy).
